  • Now just imagine how much better it would sound with a Music Man instead of that Fender fart krap! =)

  • @Deathrape2001 Well, you know what they say about opinions... :-D

  • @wateroftyne Mocking me doesn't change the fact that everything I say is obvious & correct & will help U achieve better tone. Also, calling obvious, verifiable fact an 'opinion' does not make it so.

  • @wateroftyne BTW: Your bass is not your penis. U can sell it & buy something better, like a fretless Travis Bean 4 instance =D ( = early Mick Karn)

  • @Deathrape2001 Ha ha.. you're funny. I like you.

  • Have these strings light - medium or high tension ? What gauges are they ?

  • @ChurchillCigar - They are La Bella 760FL.

  • @jollybeggars I know but how do they feel ? The gauge is medium (43-104) but are they flexible ?

  • @ChurchillCigar - They feel flexible enough to me, without being floppy like TIs. The perfect balance, in my opinion.

  • nice bass!

  • This is an amazing sounding bass.

  • Groovy brother. Great vibes.

  • a fretless precision , this is a contraddiction

  • You've earned my subscription.

  • You were right... Surely in a mix the ebony neck can cut, but I prefer the rosewood tone.

  • Nice sound and nice playing. I've already converted to flatwound strings (presently thomastik), and your videos make me want to go fretless.

The headstock of your ebony neck looks vintage. Is it from an another old bass or did you change the fingerboard of your rosewood neck to ebony?

  • @eluxoso - The neck is a borrowed from a luthier friend. He's had it a lot of years! I've since had him make me another one, which also has a vintage tint.

  • flatwound strings makes marks on the fingerboard of fretless bass??

  • that's roundwound's you're thinking of

  • I think if you have an ebony fingerboard, you should put round wound strings on your bass. But it's really all about what you want.

  • Absolutely.. I don't care for the sound of rounds on a fretless, but we're all different!

  • I dig your tone.

I'm currently in the process of defretting a cheapo bass that has PJ pickups which will be replaced with Bartolinis and I'm hoping to get a tone like yours :D
