so if install game to hdd , it will reduce the damage from the lens to read the disc everytime load from disc ? but even after install , we must insert the disc to the tray just for the first time , after that the hdd will take care of the game for the rest ?

In Fallout new vegas it takes about a minute to load when traveling when using the disc and installed it takes about 40 seconds :D

Well, I didn't actually notice any difference between loading the game from HDD or Disc... I know that not ALL the information from the DVD is transfered to the HDD, the reason for this is because there are some files on the disc which are NOT allowed to transfer (Or even copy to HDD) as they are used for security... The Xbox checks the "Checksum" in order to boot the game, or people could basically copy a game and use that to boot up a HDD game... Ps, You rock on Drums by the way dude, nice! :)

No, because if you didn't need the disc, people would be borrowing games from each other and donloading for unlimited use. Therefore, comapnies losing tons of money. God people are stupid. Another reason to download, like with me, my game disc was really messed up and wouldn't read. When I installed it, it works perfectly now so I don't get any read errors.

One problem, online play for several games lag if you download the game to your hardrive.

By the way, your RB2 disk is messed up, mine takes about 3 seconds from Solo Quickplay option to the songlist.

Everyone's experience will vary. Scratched discs, different brands of optical drives, differing 360 hardware between console revisions, fragmented hard drives, etc etc etc.

I hope people realise that games are optimized / programed on Hard Drive based SDK's. Once the game is ready it is transfered to Disc.

Its better to run the games off of HD vs Disc.

NXE stands for New Xbox Experience, as in The new dashboard.

Every game has a certain storage requirement ranging between 6-8 GBs on average.

To Install a game hit "Y" when highlighting the Disc button on the My Xbox Channel, then hit Install to Hard Drive.

I have noticed some speed increase and the Console makes almost no noise as a bonus.

get a memory card for your 360. Go to system settings on the dashboard and transfer it from your old hard drive to the memory card. Once all that is done plug in your old hard drive and transfer all that crap on your new hard from your memory card.
