@farranri Don't get too excited. Beating big brother Michigan in Ann Arbor was a much bigger win in 2005 than this one could hope to be. And even that wasn't the biggest win of the decade. This just happend to be a classic game.
As an MSU fan, this game was just PAINFUL to watch. It was a combination of a lack of character by the players and a lack of competence by John L. Smith. Let's see, Jehuu Caulcrick SLICED OPEN ND's defense basically the entire first half. So it only makes sense to give him practically NO CARRIES in the second half (I think he had 5 or something like that). It was just mind-boggling how the coaches abandoned him in the second half.
@Rusty4ND Not only that, but both programs now have EXCELLENT head coaches in my opinion. In ND's case though, I CAN'T HELP but wonder: Will the ND camp freak out the first time Kelly loses two games and gradually drive him out of town or will they be patient, let him do his thing and gradually build the program back up? If they're smart, they'll do the latter because if Kelly can't get it done in South Bend, I'm not sure who can at this point.

what no one realizes about the playcalling at the end is that Armando runs for 11 yards on first down for another first down. He rolls his ankle and is unavailable. Charlie gives the ball to hughes for no gain. Then Mich puts 8-9 in the box. ND has chewed up the mich secondary all day, charlie calls a pass play that has worked all day (should have been pass interference. This was the best game I've ever seen, Especially the last five minutes. My grandfather had fell asleep after he knew ND would lose in the 4th. I ran in screaming and woke him up.
