I always chuckle as Gorbechevs line "I have them thinking i'm a nice guy" which from what i hear, he was one of the few russian premiers who was a decent person.

Even though this film was released in 1998, it's amazing how prescient this scene was. Washington and New York were indeed attacked, Arafat did use the sham peace process to destroy Israel and Gorbachev was certainly NOT a nice guy. Just read the transcripts of Russians who defected during his tenure. Great scene, in more ways than one.

@Archangel101576 -- 1988 was the release year :-) I remember seeing it around Christmas of that year. A great, fun time! And revisiting it now, it IS eerily on the mark.
