  • For ~$40 you can switch to the new adjustable OPV. Simple to install and as the pump loses oomph you can adjust the pressure. Simple upgrade.

    Tex

  • @TexasCoffee - Thanks Tex - I did not know the newer pressure valve would fit - for $40 its a good upgrade for those that want to tinker with the pressure setting.

  • With this modification you finally increase the pressure or decrease?

I have thw same machine and i want to increase the pressure for the coffee.

and i dont have an adjustable opv(is same like yours)

  • @trixoptosi - if you want to increase the pressure you will need to increase the load on the spring so it opens at a higher pressure. Unfortunately you cannot do this by removing the washer on the valve as the washer is needed or the valve leaks. I suppose you might try putting some type of brass shim inside the valve to increase pressure on the spring.

  • Well photographed and documented with your fine voice.

  • What is the inside and outside diameter of that washer?

    Thanks

  • @deanmatters sorry I do not know - I just took the existing washer with me to HD.

  • Good video. Thanks for posting it.
