@daddyjunkie it was def a single turbo, you can tell by the WG. just because a supra has a single turbo wont mean its faster than the stock twins,. it all comes down to tunes's when dealing with upgrades and not just throwing stuff on.
yuh but generally speaking the singles tend to be faster and won't crap out under heavy load... my supra is bpu right now, turbo #2 took a dump...will you buy me a new turbo? ...
Well you gotta realize that the 335i twin turbos are tiny but great for instant torque and down low speed, but it can't match the single turbo power the supra has up top. Not to mention the Supra's engine is superb and can handle a lot more power than the bmw's aluminum/magnesium block.
It's amazing that just about every supra turbo I see racing on youtube wins! I realize they are all modded but, even against other modded turbo cars it seems like the supra wins 99% of the time on these vids. They must really respond well to mods... I don't know much about these cars but I know they're fast as hell when modded.
@IrishChris1979 ..Take a look at some of the 300ZXtt on here....they have been known to go toe-to-toe with the supra. But I love them both for being ahead of their time as it relates to power, styling and handling
@kwamdoo74 i used to have a 300zx... The supra's 3.0L L6 and the Skylines 2.6L L6 are WAAAAAAY better designs than the vg30dett... It used to piss me off that i chose a v6 over the L6... BUT I bought a Jeep so my L6 fix is ok for now just missing some boost lol
