I live out in Chesapeake, VA and have the same problem with my house. Unfortunately, my dog is 120 lbs and she's too scared to walk through the water to get to dry land to pee. So guess who gets to carry her through knee deep water 50 feet? Haha.

Hope your house wasn't damaged! We were surrounded by it too but thankfully it never reached the siding.
