Are the leads you disconnect at around 2:19 what dictates what each pedal does, and more importantly, are they interchangeable, so that I could, for example, use the clutch as the accelerator, and make the normal accelerator unused or the clutch? I'm asking because I need to have pedals more widely spaced, and the clutch as the accelerator and the left most pedal left as the brake would solve this problem perfectly. I can't drive one footed. I left foot brake. So these pedals are WAY too close.

@chilicoke there's some dudes making pedal extension kits that let you space the pedals out as well as increase the lever length for more throw/sensitivity if you want. Sim Racing Station is the manufacturer. The kit also includes a "damper" material to add inside the brake pedal spring to give you a more realistic hard brake pedal feel. Humans do better sensing fine pressure adjustments than fine motion adjustments... Ask a fighter pilot.

@Vamphaery In real life you are suppose to drive with right foot for the gas, and brake and the left one for clutch. On left drive type cars.

Do you drive for real? Because if you do, you will kill transmissions.

When I was young I drove like that and I killed a few transmissions. It took a while for me to learn how to use my feet the right way.

You can mod like that, but you should make it as a real car. A sim is to improve driving skills not hack them.

So i've seen the question asked, but not answered. What's the cockpit you're using? Most I've seen don't accommodate upside down pedals as they're designed for the wheels in their default state.

I'm assuming this is either custom made or something ...

Not without hacking up the enclosure. DF-GT/DFP use both upper and lower casing to hold clamp pedals in place instead of individual units like G25/27 pedals.

At approx 2:20 it shows you taking the connectors off the pedal. are there three connectors that go to each pedal then? And then they all are in one cable that goes into a connector to the wheel?

Yes there are three cables to each pedal + ground wire, all split from the one connector that goes to the steering wheel.
