@rmordica time scale values are located in the floating toolbar of Rayfire and are labeled as such. the lower you go, the slower your animation will sim. to increase the time scale in max, open your playback options(?) window in Max and set the fps to custom and entered your desired amount.
@phunguy123 they are getting close tho, ive seen some really, really good physics in some games, Crysis 2 is one of them, battlefield 3 looks promising.
@Liechengsos1 they are "fake" physics, though. While they look good, they dont have the precision as this, and the objects colliding are simpler, making the calculations easier.
can u please tell hw u did that in ray fire.....i am doing same but when my object hit base its explode but at same time my ground also going down so u can tell me how i solve this problem ....or send me any tutorials ,,,,,please ........
@deepakkashid:sorry.. but i don´t have time to write a kind of a tutorial ;) but i learned it only by the video tutorials you can find here: hope that helps!
Can you tell me how to fragment a simple sphere..i just cant get the right surface, when i do the fragmentation my fragments clearly can be seen...and my "smoothnes" is broken. I have no problems with box..just with objects like sphere. Thanks
I want make an animation like this, so i want ask some questions to you, did you draw these light bulb? If you didint, where can i download it ? And last question, can u remember the friction and iterations configration of glass ? Because my glass crashing more extended and 6-7 pices. I want more piceses like yours. Sorry for my bad english, thanks for your attention.
amazing job. I just wanted to know how you got that nice reflections after it smashes. Is that the lights or a reflection map? Also I'm curious how you deal with the first animation of the solid object then switching it to the broken fractured object. Was that done with the time-line visibility?
I'm new to max and would be very grateful if you can give me some tips on how you got such a realistic effect.
For the reflections i used a HDRI Map and two Vray lights in my scene. The rest (simulation, visibility etc.) was done by Rayfire. You have different material options in rayfire. If you choose glas material it switches automatically between solid and broken object.
@newmediadesigns0de Great! Only been using vray and rayfire for a few days so allot to learn yet. Thank you for those tips. I'm sure it will come very handy for my current project.
you used after effects for that nice glow effect? And how u do that slow motion? U rendered 60fps? or? Thanks

can someone tell me how to do slow motion with rayfire?
rritss 8 months ago
@rritss increase the amount of fps in Max or decrease the time scale values.

@rmordica where? in the render options?

@deepakkashid i think you can solve it by adding the ground into the unyielding objects in the "object" panel

why all 3ds max animations are like 1 sec long that's freaking gay and i think is way too easy to do.
wedewdw 1 year ago
@wedewdw because it need so long to render, I make a scene that was 12sec long and it takes 128 hours to render
