Fluff wise, they are the most selfless race in Warhammer. They are willing to risk so much to protect the materium from the foul gods of Chaos. So what if a billions of humans are sacrificed? Is that not better than having their entire race wiped out?

in one book 3 space marines killed 40 dark eldar at once without taking any injury

@00Partyfox00 ok maybe i was exagerating a little bit - but i dislike the tau because the ethereal cast has enslaved its entire race - at least all other races are honest about it - for another thing - they have no great power - nothing to work for but some slightly more gifted beings - they are not very ethereal when compared to the eldar - they (please correct me if i am wrong) dont have as much firepower as the imperium - they dont have as much personality as the orks ect.

Eldar are amazing, so much power, grace and beauty! they are by far my favorite race. im sure Eldar will always be there. people forget that Eldar may not be such a dying race. when the fall occured there were thousands of craftworlds each containg massive amount of eldar, not just the well known craftworlds. for all we know there could be eldar craftworlds that have settled down on a planet out of the reach of humanities maps and could be creating a whole new empire all over again.

For example crafworld Altanasar was considered to be lost/destroyed since it was caught up in the Eye of Terror until it emerged from it untainted. Who is to say how many undiscovered or lost craftworlds are there......

i always think of them being sinister or they think they are the smartest or the best. in a way every race in warhammer 40K hates everybody else. the only real exception are the Tau because they serve some "greator good" and not themselves.

Indeed. That picture manages to capture the subtelty and beauty of the eldar and as a fact the women is farseer Taldeer, my favourite commanader from the from Dawn Of War games :) However my favourite pic is the next one, from 2:19 mostly because of the way it depicts the Eldar standing in light, almost angelic in appearance sorrounded by a mob of humans indoctrinated by the Inquisition, crying out the purity of the human race and death to all other races while the composition tells otherwise.
