  • 1:45 vince's face says it all why did i hire this idiot yes vince why did you up there with the xfl oh dear

  • Vince returned the next week when everyone walked out on wwe raw!

  • i just dnt get it is he really dead yes or no?

  • @04ma07 Yes. This was way before he passed away.

  • He said macho man mate not vince

  • see, THIS pg i can handle because it made pro wrestling look like a respectable sport (not today with celebrity whores and fucking dance contests? i dont wanna see a gay ass dance contest inside of a Wrestling Ring

  • vince isnt dead cuz it dnt say on wiki

  • @04ma07 because wikipedia is the only source for true statements, right?? not vince, macho man... try to keep up

  • the first ever WWF RAW entrance was that guy? lol COOL

  • The fans aren't holding up signs like they always do.

  • Is Machoman Dead?

  • @04ma07 Yes he died last year in a car accedient, he had a heart attack and lost control of his car

  • lol i remember this i i was 11

  • It's been 19 years, just amazing.

  • Zack Ryder would have fit perfectly in this time in 93.

  • @Nintendofanboy1988 he would fit, cause he is a rip off of koko b ware. every 2012 pg era wrestler is a rip off.

  • @EgyMax1987 i agree.

  • Rob Bartlett isn't fit to wipe Heenan's ass.

  • Wow, back then they were playing at buildings like the ones ECW played at. Look how far they've come

  • the ultimate tea-bag

  • who the hell is Rob Bartlet and why would they give him the brains job Bobby Heanen was one of the best commintaters ever

  • Rob Bartlett is a failed standup comedian.

  • lmao i remember being 5 years old and going nuts for this crap! oh man how time has passed! Koko B Ware?!? who the fuh was he! these were the great days of wrestling!

  • Man, I just realised. John Cena acts like the Bird Man Koko. Funny he doesn't wear Zach Ryder's sunglasses.

  • I had no idea that High Energy used this theme. I guess when Owen went solo he kept it.

  • Bonesawwww

  • Why did Koko B. Ware come out to Owen's music instead of his own music?

  • @Edgehead10075

they were tag team back then

  • I know that, but he usually came out to his own "Bird Man" music.

  • @Edgehead10075 because him and owen where a tag team wih the parachute pants

  • Yes, but High Energy always came out to Koko's music, never Owen's.

  • Damn 18 years...

  • wwe should do a RAW there again, it won't make as much money because its a small venue, they should have done it for the old school RAW last year.

  • i remeber that day

  • Comment removed

  • 18 years later and there's only two performers left from this era (despite not making many appearances) Bret hart and the undertaker.

  • Sean Mooney was a great commentator, better than Pettenjerk and Michale "asshole" Cole.

  • Is Bartlett saying YokozuMa?????

  • RIP Yokozuna! Back in this day, Yokozuna was my favorite wrestler.

  • whats the name of the song its epic? at around 0:50

  • The Brain kicks ass

  • RIP Macho Man - thanks for making the WWE what it is today.

  • @BludnmunyProductions only thing he did was make it alright for shitty announcer like himself to call raw the wwe is bigger than macho man

  • wwf raw ???/1998 looked like one of those house shows

  • @mikeythug107 Everyone starts somewhere.

  • rip macho man

  • I can't eat my dinner whilst watching this

  • macho man is so awesome

  • the commentators are cracking so much on yokozuna

  • the first ever wrestlemania was on 1985 so what wwf shows happened between 1985 and 1993

  • @IWFAnimation Prime Time Wrestling (Raw replaced this), WWF Superstars, WWF Wrestling Challenge, WWF All Star Wrestling, Tuesday Night Titans. There's probably more but these are the ones that I know from when they started appearing on cable in the early 80's. Before that I don't think there was a set show. It was just wrestling and it came on network television probably as what was known as the former WWWF

  • @IWFAnimation Superstars of Wrestling

  • That episode happened before i was born lol

  • yoko was ruthless

  • did coco and owen hart share those pants??

  • dam coco bware was still wrestilin in 93?? fodder for Yoko

  • dam coco bware was still wrestilin in 93??

  • This is first Monday Night Raw, first Raw ever is in 01/01/1993

  • @New7Dry Actually the date is correct, 11/01/93. The US is the only country that lists dates as Month/Day/Year. The rest of the world shows Day/Month/Year, like the title of this video.

  • This was the lightest Yokozuna had ever been during his WWF tenure. He was billed at the time weighing 505 lbs.

  • For the I.C. match, it's MAX Moon, not Mat Moon.

  • even the first ever raw had a bigger crowd than TNA's

  • @pilotboy500 yes they are go watch the rock's dvd and see for your self idiot.

  • God I hated watching Koko B Ware back then and I still do now! And it's not cuz he's black too!

  • Did you know that Yukozona is The Rocks cousin LOL.

  • that's owen harts music!

  • Funny how 1 hour of Monday Night Raw has more content than 2 hours of Raw....

  • what was the show before RAW?

  • @wafflefaffle Prime Time Wrestling.

  • uncooked. uncut. uncensored!!!!

  • Continuing from my other post...

Listen to Vince force his classic chop laugh to sound amused by Rob's jokes. That blatant ass joke done in poor taste should have the been sign to pull the mic plug but no the show must go on. I swear he said "Yokozuma"

  • As longtime of fan the website Wrestlecrap, it is a fact that Rob Bartlett's name is on the list of previous inductions. There is one bad habit that never left the company now known as WWE. WWE will hire people that don't belong in the wrestling business and try make them acceptable to fans. I had to endure a year of Mike Admale screwing up on the mic. "Jeff Harvey" Lol.

  • Does anyone know how I can see Raw from 1997 onwards?

  • lol 6:53 "is that a butt drop lol"

  • wwf RULES ,, wwe SUX

  • Damn. I remember this song! Brings back memories starting @ 0:50.

  • notice koko beware is using owen hart's theme song

  • @Hardy0811 and Shockmaster83 That's because he and Owen were tag team partners at this time. They were called "High Energy."

  • @Hardy0811 That's because they were a tag team called High Energy

  • its owens old theme that koko was usin lol!

  • @Shockmaster83 koko came before owen so owen if using kokos theme

  • @Shockmaster83 That's because Owen and Koko used to be in a tag team called 'High Energy', and they came out to this music; Owen kept the music when Koko left. Before Owen went solo and started wearing the trademark pink and black Hart attire, he used to dress just as wacky as Koko, lol

  • the wwf/wwe sure had came a long way

  • This Raw > Current WWE Raw

WWE is unwatchable. I used to love this stuff. Just horrible now.

  • wwe raw the beginning available thus tuesday!

  • I missed this kinda cometary. They are raggin on em big time. No pc here...lol

  • great first episode of Monday Night RAW :) its my number one fav episode because I loved the match card, the arena and the funny segment involving Bobby Heenan trying to get into the arena :)

  • wow who would have thought back then raw would still be on today with the cheesiest sense of humor in the world, WWE sucks, vince mcmahon, you were the man and a good busniess man, but you also suck for inflicitng your awful sense of humor upon is through todays raw. its like you rub your saggy ballsack on the faces of all your former loyal wrestling fans

  • @prototype00000 don't be retarded dude. WWF was waaaay cheesier back then. Back then they would have never done anything like the Nexus angle. it's not that bad, it's just trendy to bash the WWE but the reality is that the matches are QUALITY. It's not all punch/kick like attitude era. Even the punch/kick like Cena usually tells a great story in the ring.

  • @Anglefan12

your right the only thing trendy about the WWE is to bash it

  • @prototype00000 exactly, I remember watching in 1998 and hearing everyone "when will it get back to more family oriented wrestling and better matches" then now "we need more cussing" it's stupid. Everyone looks at everything with nostalgia. I guarantee in 10 years people will look back on this current era and wish it was still around. it's human nature.

  • @Anglefan12

i guarantee you in 1998 i was so happy the WWF finally saw the light as i could remember the worse year ever in 1995 and the crappy 1996(a bit better then 95 but stil crap), so from that to 1998 wwf jumped bounds.i never once look back at the 1995 era as nostalgia but just plain crap...kind of like today.

  • @prototype00000 that's you though, some people look back at those years with nostalgia. I hated the attitude era, it was a bunch of sloppy punch/kick shit with a million run ins and Jerry Springer storylines. I loved WCW/nWo stuff. That's my nostalgia period. To me there will never be a story arc as good as Sting vs nWo. You are using yourself as a reference, again, not even answering what I'm questioning. stop thinking "well I thought this" "well I'm like that"

  • @Anglefan12

it wasnt just me though, the ratings of raw went from a 2.1 to a 6.0 on a regular basis once the wwf hit their stride. there is nothing nostalgic about the year 1995 in the WWF, and i was a huge WWF fan back then out of loyalty as a youngster. wcw/nwo was good and lucky they came through or the WWF would be like it was in 1995....actually it almost is again, weve gone full circle, how sad.

  • @prototype00000 so, my point isn't that this was a more popular era, my point is that, believe it or not, pretty much everyone has a time when they wish wrestling was still like it was. The attitude era didn't have good wrestling, it was good entertainment, kinda white trashy, but entertaining. Some people miss 60s territorial wrestling, some miss mid 90s puroesu, some people miss 2004 TNA, that's my point.

  • @Anglefan12

wrestling matches may have evolved to put on more or a clinique today, however a good match every couple of pay per views in this era doesnt make up for 4 hours a week of boring television and i cannot watch a full episode of either show as time drags forever. id take good entertainment on a weekly basis over a good wrestling match every month or two. Not to mention overacting & wrestlers forced to read a script. have u seen flair in tna lately...hes better on the mic then in years

  • @prototype00000 I agree that Flair has been better. however, I didn't find the attitude era entertaining. It was a lot of jerry springer white trash stuff that I thought was silly. To me yea, wrestling isn't the best it's ever been but it's not awful either. It could be better, it could be worse. Some people will look back on this current era with nostalgia and see it better as it was like any other era.

  • @Anglefan12 I myself have loved rvery WWE era i really dont have a fav i mean times change and so does the WWE. I know that alot of people hate the current era but i do like it i mean sure theres not really alot of great superstars like in the past but its still entertaing as hell.

  • @darkgoku06 I agree and I wish people would look at it the same way. Instead of focusing on the negatives, look at the positives. today's wrestling has WAAAY better matches than the attitude era. That's a positive, wrestling should be fun.

  • @Anglefan12

ok so i havnt watched raw in ages and watched the old school raw as it felt nostalgic. there was a skit in there with dusty rhodes and ted dibiase/irs, then all of a sudden music played and tatanka appeard. this firstly was not funny, it was cheesy, lame and served no purpose. it felt unrealistic which took credibility away from everything else. it was lame as fuk. as if that would ever happen, its a joke and it represents everything wrong with the WWE. roddy piper saved the show

  • @Anglefan12

was there even one thing exciting on this old school raw? no nothing. it was slow, there was one good match with daniel brian and that kurt angle wannabe but it was a 3 hour show and the rest of it other then piper and orton/cena/barrett at the end was a snorefest. lucky i got to fast forward most the show to speed the tempo up. nobody is even over compared to the attitude era, even the 93 era bret hart was more over then the entire WWE roster today

  • @prototype00000 : You are a fan who is to fucking hard to please. That old school RAW was fantastic, and very entertaining. One "bad" skit didn't make the show bad. And Jack Swagger is a real amatuer wrestler like Kurt Angle was. Of course their movesets are going to be identical. That's the way those guys know how to wrestle.

  • @prototype00000 wow dude, are you retarded? Argue all you fuckin want but the FACT is that people have different opinions and everyone looks at different eras in a different light and, believe it or not, some people LOVE this stuff. some people LOVE the modern era. Some people LOVE Ian Rotten. Some people LOVE hardcore spotfest ECW.Some people LOVE methodical old school matches that tell a story like Lawler vs Race.People have different opinions, that's my point, it's a fact too, get over it.

  • @prototype00000 1993-1995 was the worst time period for the WWF/E.Yokozuna,Razor Ramon,Diesel & Shawn Michaels helped to make it bearable for me.

  • @landrykkb 1993-1997 was the worst but 97 things got diffrent by late 97

  • @SayainBroly1 There was even some captivating moments in between those 4 lean years, albeit few and far between. If Vince McMahon hadn't suddenly decided to get with the program when it was WCW eating him alive in the Monday Night Wars,it would have been WWF/E that would cease to exist today. That's no secret at all!

  • @SayainBroly1 I agree at that point the wrestlers I liked were Undertaker,HBK. Razor Ramon, Bret Hart and Diesel but it was crappy to say the least. In 97 things turned around because wasn't a family show anymore, and Mabel finally was removed from the main event.

  • @prototype00000 thinking egocentrically is something little kids do. I very vividly remember my dad being appalled at the attitude era coz he fondly remembered wrestling as a family thing with Hogan in the 80s. My grandpa hated it coz he grew up on Central States with great in ring wrestling. He always said "shut up and wrestle" when watching. Not everyone thinks the same way you do. EVERYBODY has a time period that they look at as the best ever and they rarely see the flaws coz of nostalgia

  • @Anglefan12

see even you prefer wcw/nWo, i was a huge WWF mark at the time, pure loyal but even i knew WCW was 10 times better in 1995/96 then the WWF. thats my point, mcmahon only knows the kids tv/cheesy humor stuff and only when bischoff revolutionised wrestling did he allow vince russo to write him the attitude style tv. once russo and his old staff left he was back to his cheesy ways in no time, and today is no exception. its the saggy ballsack in the face syndrome

  • @Anglefan12

you shud join the vince mcmahon kiss my ass club, get pucker up to some cottage cheese

  • @prototype00000 ok...that's kinda something I'd expect someone who wants the attitude era back to say

  • @prototype00000 Dude, WWE made wrestling what it is today.. wrestling in general wouldn't be nearly as popular as it is today without Vince and the WWE, your ignorant.

  • @KRiZZxTV

thats why i said vince mcmahon WAS the man and a good business man back in the day...hes out of touch now, and his out of touch daughter is head of creative and hers and gerwitz vision is as lame as vince's. he should fire them all and hire someone who knows entertianment does not consist of the rotten cheese that is monday night raw

  • i dont think this is the first ever wwf raw

  • @rapsux33 yes it is

  • @rapsux33 it is, max moon gets beat by Shawn Michaels, and Undertaker beats Damien Demento. It's crazy how much RAW has changed.

  • why the hell is yokozuna from japan if realy he aint lol

  • @martyboyish its called Kayfabe

  • thats owen harts music

  • @martyboyish It is but its because Koko and Owen were still tagging as High Energy so its normal they use the same music.

  • no one can do a better impression of randy savage then jay lethal he is almost dead on

  • Thanks for the memories! Do you have the one with Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon hosting alongside a fake Vince McMahon? I believe it was in 1993 or early 1994.

  • Rob Bartlett is nothing compared to Heenan

  • @jre52301 They don't even belong in the same sentence together.

  • This is Owens entrance music !

  • BANZAI!!

  • Kok using Owen harts future theme

  • they were actually tag team partners. so they both used it.

  • @FryV2 Owen&Koko B. Ware are a tag team,so they used the same theme music.

  • The episode that started it all.

  • isnt macho man jay lethol

  • Uhhhhhhh.......no! Jay Lethal borrowed Macho's gimmick, but they are definitely two very different people.

  • 1. its jay lethal

    2. theres only one machoman and that is machoman himself! no jay lethal, he immage machoman but his isnt him for real!

  • i heard yokozuna had bad gas

  • the day the wwf made history

  • WWE RULES where TNA (Total Naff Action) SUCKS!!!!

  • ur right tna sucks only the sad guys wrestle there! like mr kennedy (his name is now mr anderson)

  • @mywwedreamz face it, wwe is a joke now get with the times ^^

  • R.I.P. Yokozuna

  • How in world did wrestlers get up after being squashed by Yokozuna? What's the trick?

  • @faithfulgirl82 if you watch close u can see his feet hit a little before he lands on koko b ware so theres not that much weight on him but sometimes he stiffs his opponents and really lands on them

  • @faithfulgirl82 hold your breath

  • @faithfulgirl82 vince said get up or i'll fire your ass

  • the date on this is wrong .. it's 92 .. yokozoona won royal rumble 93

  • @joeytrimble the date is right (i think.) It's just that the poster put the day first, month second, and year last. The first RAW was in Jan of 93 (IDK about the day.) The 93 Rumble was a few weeks away.

And sadly Flair would be gone soon as well. But luckily the Flair for the Gold and the whole Horsemen vs Hollywood Blondes feud was about to start.

  • @faithfulgirl82 if you watch closely, he lands on his feet and then onto his opponent while at the same time still holding onto the ropes. They feel it no doubt but definitely isn't what it seems.

  • @faithfulgirl82 lots of strenght and oh who am i kidding how the hell do they do get up it's killing a fly the a fly swater

  • Ah the good ole days of wrestling, before WCW folded and wrestling became horrible to watch.

  • awsome
