loved the film, i dont think there was a single bad performance. i also love that it didnt show gay people in the usual stereotypical view, that there actually is such a thing as a gay gangster. this is one of my favourite films ever! at times it funny, heartbreaking, violent, upsetting and brutal but damn its an awesome film full stop!

I also saw the movie in Toronto, too... large audience..... very well received. Beautifully filmed. Great actors! I wondered how someone at 21 could have directed such a well made film. The script must have been well written, too. - I was impressed.

Hi John, thanks for your comment. We've only managed to see the film with one audience - which was in Miami - they were energetically excitable in response to the film - we'd love to know - good or bad how it went down in Toronto? We should have added to the film notes that much of the plot is taken from real life experiences reported or as has been experienced so tragically some of it was true to life.

It was as close to a sell-out audience as you could get - there were only a few scattered empty seats. The crowd seemed to really like it - great round of applause at the end and some laughs and gasps throughout as we reacted to certain scenes. Makes it that much more disturbing knowing it plays on real life events. Some great acting by a bunch of fresh talent, esp. Jonno and Cal. I hope it receives more acclaim around the globe. People need to see this - in the vain of Kids.
