  • thank god this CRAP isnt made anymore...Why dont blacks realize that Jews made these movies NOT to make blacks feel good about themselves but to separate them from their MONEY.... blacks Separate Equally from their green...... let this crap be destroyed ....

  • thanks for uploading this movie, you cant find it on dvd anywhere

  • I'm 51 and White, I was a 14 year old kid when this movie came out. It was summer and I had run away from home and was hitchiking around the US. It was the end of the hippy movement, so dope was everywhere and I got stuck in Boston for a while where I saw this movie.

Racial hatred is largely a creation that is fanned and fuelled by the powers behind the Hollywood and the media. As is the gender hatred. Divide & conquer. Who are "they?" Hint: They run Wall St. & Hollywood

    Guess

  • @locatebob You ran away at 14! You should write a book,I bet you have a few stories to tell!

  • @DavidJSmerdon There were a lot of young white kids running away during that era. A lot of young white girls got caught up on the streets hooking. But that's nothing new. I've seen and met a lot of young kids that run away from home. It's a harsh reality that gets covered up a lot because media and society doesn't want to expose the truth in the white family homes. No different than the issues in people color homes. I had done a documentary photo. shoot on the homeless kids here. 90% are white.

  • @locatebob Adding to this. Media indeed. But it starts at home and initially from the beast that started the concept. The government.

  • @locatebob Very interesting i know the group you are talking about. I try not to believe it at times but its popping up everywhere.

  • does n e one other than me notice he has ALMOST the SAMElook on his face as he drives in the beginning as he did the first superfly? holla at me man

  • nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its crazy because you wouldnt think any kind of a battle scene would have anything to do with superfly. . . kind of throws you off at first .

  • Wow, screenplay by Alex Haley? Interesting. Thanks for posting this!

  • np man :) thank u

  • crazy isn't it!

  • @hikmah WOW /// DIDNT KNOW THAT.....GORDON PARKS JR MADE SUPERFLY....HIS FATHER MADE SHAFT AND A HOST OF LEGENDARY PHOTOS...JR PASSED AWAT..RON ONEAL PRODUCED THIS ALSO...BUT I NEED TO LEARN MORE

  • Some new dialogue to insert at 5:35 ...

"We must transfer our oil funds out of Nigeria ... e-mail Superfly, tell him to be discreet!"

  • "it was not too cool for a white person to go to the movies in the 70s" hahahahhahaaaa yooooo you´re killin me! man wtf was goin down at the movie theathers back then i thought ppl went there to watch a movie not to slay white people hahahahaha goddamn thanks for uploading the movie but thats the stupidest shit i heard i life....get tha fuck outta here wit that shit.

  • You got a great sense of humor in the way you write. Honest man Shaft had the mixed race audience at the time. Superfly was perceived as a black movie at the time in 1973. Maybe it was my perception of things. What the hell now we can all enjoy the movie

  • @oldclips thanks man yeah without humor life aint shit.

  • @oldclips Well handled....I understand what you mean when you say that. For anyone to understand what you mean they must first have at least some knowledge about what was taking place in America at that particular time. You are right when you say Shaft captured a mixed audience even though the genre of it was considered Blaxploitation. Thanks for posting and thanks for your honesty. Youtube is full of jackasses!

  • @oldclips Dude. You are absolutely right. Shaft was a cross over big budget black exploitation movie. The original Superfly was a low budget indie movie. So alot of people where aware of Shaft due to casting marketing and push, Superfly would have been in the "HOOD" for real for real.lol. So you are right you would've felt waaay safer at the Shaft show. Rather you where in danger either way. I wouldnt know. Thats was way before my time. An to my knowledge tnt is garbage...

  • @oldclips i just read a comment about a white person in the theators

  • @oldclips Thanx for posting this..last time I saw this was 1990-1991.

  • @1KillaSkrilla1 hahaha i know it funny the same thing with cowboys and indians haha

  • @1KillaSkrilla1 hahaha i know it funny the same thing with! the Cowboys and Indian haha shoes on the wrong foot now, grow some nuts......dont cry

  • @1KillaSkrilla1 white r the bad guys hahah

  • The credits could have used a little shadow or outline. Solid red with no surround doesn't exactly make for effective reading.

  • that opening sequence was hot

  • thanks for posting

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • i keep hearing about superfly and superfly tnt, can someone tell me the difference between the two? r they two diff movies or what? im confused

  • different movies!

  • I saw both Superflys in the movies when i was a teenager. We had a wineno tell the ticket booth operator that he was our uncle because they were real strict about youngsters buying tickets to adult rated films.

Thanks Man for taking the time to upload this. It brings back so many memories. I'm sure more will appreciate your effort.

    Stay cool Baby!

  • thanks for the movie man this is realy great!

  • I believe KC was a real pimp who invested in the movie. I'm not sure he's alive now.

  • I believe that he was thats what I heard. It was his Eldorado that they used for Priest's car in SuperFly.

  • i dont care if this movie is any good or not...THANKS FOR UPLOADING, HONKEY!!

LMFAO...Just kidding, man. You know I had to throw that in there after your little intro. lol Peace, man.

  • Thanks for that humorous comment. I think? Perhaps someone that is at least 52 years of age can tell us if any white people were in the audience in 1972. I saw Shaft around this time period but felt Superfly was always a black only movie, at least in 1972 that what I thought. Of course now I dont.

  • well, you know darling, it was 36 years ago, how can anyone know for sure who was in the audience? But seeing as how my uncle only dated white women, (and i am sure he was not alone), I'm sure some white ppl made it into the audience somewhere. I doubt blacks were standing outside the theaters daring "honky" to enter. lol

Now having said all that, I am speaking of the original Superfly, cuz this waterdowned version hardly saw any play at all once word got around.

  • So even if Superfly were marketed as a "black" only movie, i feel it still would have appealed to young white urban antiestablishment/college educated audiences who were just as eager to see someone like Priest stick it to the man as much as black audiences. But on that note, it is dangerous to assume that ALL blacks enjoyed such a depiction. Just like we all don't enjoy hiphop in these times. Ya dig?

    Peace.

  • BINGO! great posts on the money

  • @lorimneal Well said. The atmosphere was perfect for both rebellious young whites and college educated whites that did watch this movie. Junkies in Harlem weren't solely blacks. Hispanics live(d) in Harlem and whites came in to get their fix. Agree about blacks in general comments. Sad that people still assume and generalize blacks. Blacks are no different from whites, different strokes, aesthetics etc.

  • @oldclips I'm 48 and saw Super Fly, Coffy, Foxy Brown, The Mack at the movies. It was an all black audience. You paid once and say the movie over and over again. You could also get refills on popcorn and soda. People would sneak in wine, KFC, chinese food. I stop going to the movie theater when a rodent ran across my foot. There was always a fight or two.

  • I just saw the first 10 minutes of this movie nothing exciting a bit boring so far. I see it not going to have no good sound track like the first superfly. Let me check out the next ten minutes.
