@RocksNStars55 cant agree more, but i think a-ha could have make it at the us, i think it was perhaps xenophobia cause they are greate, i am from paraguay and i can tell you that their songs are still high rated on local radios
@ian8354 THATS LIFE, im 33 and my bro is 40 he used to listen all aha albums in our room every evening, he asked me to stay and listen with him!!! so i listened all those song all my child age
@daflonable1 Never guess what i'm listening on my Ipod now ? ''you are the one'' [remix version] from 'Headlines and Deadlines' the hits of Aha...GREAT SONG ! Not many listened to this remixed version, shit the song has just finished and now ''The living Daylights'' is playing :) Whats the chances of me listening to Aha and you get a message from someone off youtube..lol
I bought this album from brittania music club in 1985 when i was 14.This was my fave track.Ive not much idea what its about but it still chokes me umpty nine years later
@rubyfrances1 ",,,Ive not much idea what its about but it still chokes me umpty nine years later..." i appreciate your comment. and i can relate. i didnt hear this till 1991 but still the same.... on a side note, i with his beatiful voice, i cant help wonder about Steve Perry singing with him.
@rubyfrances1 i think is about paul and magne first comeback from england, in their web page is told that they run out of money and intead of asking their parents for money, they decided to make auto stop from london to oslo, while comming back they were caught by the police in germany, and crossed a 2 kilometrs bridge walking, guess paul said that during the comeback never stopped raining
Thank you for posting all of my favourite aha songs. I couldn't find 'The Swing of Things' (original from Scoundrel Days) on Youtube apart from live versions, do you have that too?
This is some timeless stuff; it 's way better than the crap thats out today thats for sure. I am proud to have been an 80's teen, feel like crying listening to this it's taken me right back. Feel good but sad at the same time :(
AHA is a fantastic band,so many of there songs like trhis one are very catchy, have great melodys, full of brilliant synthi sounds and Mortens voice is wonderful as well!
That's one hell of a vocie there! With Alphaville's Marian Gold, one of the best, beautiful and versatile voices you'll ever hear coming from a bloke. All the tone deafers today (Gallagher, Albarn, Robbie Pill-iams) and embarrassing yellers (Scouting For Girls-or talent even, Arctic Junkees etc) and the poncy girly wimperers (Twitberlake, JLShite, Beiber) take note and weep-and then sod off forever.
This is the strongest song from the debut, apart from the singles. Sounds like a fairy tale.
@Bethfromwigan Yes no one can sing today an no one has the songs. The 80s had them all-Kim Wilde, Stevie Nicks, Kirsty MacColl, Cyndi Lauper, Alphaville, A-ha, Duran Duran, OMD, China Crisis, Crowded House, Sandra Cretu, Blancmange, Shakespears Sister, Voice Of The Beehive, Pretenders, ABBA, Blondie, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Ultravox, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush, Bangles, the lot. Today we have fuck all! Bollox we have!
@TheMjblades very good point it's up to bands like you said such depeche mode, alphaville, OMD and the petshop boys to carry on riding this music's flag!
@TheMjblades you cant imagine the days i would climb inside my music and just let go of the tears and pain, hey heres a real kicker,i am 44 and i still listen, you forgot pat benetar
you guys should listen to my instrumental version of this song!! it took me two days to really try to get the exact similar instrumental and the music sheets. it was hard to find.
très belle réalisation sur A HA**J adore cette chanson , ils sont beaux*et talentueux*ces hommes... les photos sont superbe*. . merci à vous et bravo** : )
One of my favorites on my i touch.

Europe is large enough with more than enough population to make sure artists there do not need to go to North America to be successful.
