there is nothing wrong with having a standard of money that we go by. all people could carry around pockets full of actually gold, which are given value by how rare the resource is upon the earth, it is simply more convenient to use paper money printed by the federal reserve, and there is no "fear"involved. we use the currency because it is what our government says is the standard and without a standard we go back to having issues with money conversion which are simply unnecesarry.

i can see that if you believe all interest is bad then you could say usury = interest, but i dont think all interest is bad. banks could not run without interest. a bank is a service, and place that holds and keeps peoples money secure and for that service there is a charge just like there is a charge for anything. bankers are doing there trade and charge for it and the way they get paid is called interest.

Oh and recommended to watch is The Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell... 6 parts.. pretty powerful. What I've learned from this? That it's all about what is taking place INSIDE us... like this documentary explains too. It's not out there.. it's in here.
