@Dulcimerist It isn't. Just last night I watched my 16-year-old tape recording of it. I have every frame of it memorized. If it was possible I'd just rip it and up it myself. The sound quality isn't very good, but it's the original live performance, not a rerun.
I beleive I got interested in thses gals because of this(verison) of "Here" 1995 I think it's saturday night live. That drummer is unchained mainia on drums!
Follow up to my comment about Vivian Trimble, I never didn't like her, but I never had "feelings" about her, unlike the other three Luscious Jackson members.
As I mentioned at the end of my last posting, Vivian Trimble, IMO, bears a strong resemblance to the Folk Singer, Jill Sobule.
@EuropaAmerica7 What's that about Vivian? Hah...I always thought she was the cutest. Body language, haircut...yeah. Not to reduce a really fucking solid, funky girl-group to their sex appeal, but you know...
Luscious Jackson are definitely not a "Lezzy" band. I am a "straight dude" and think Gabby Glaser, the long-haired brunette guitarist, wearing the blue shirt, is one of the HOTTEST women out there! Jill Cunniff, wearing the yellow shirt, is not too shabby, either. Both of them are straight, as far as I know.
Kate Schellenbach, the drummer, is a lesbian but many straight men (myself included!) think she is hot! As for keyboardist Vivian Trimble, I think she resembles Jill Sobule.
Wow. I remember watching them play the same song on Conan (same era) when I was in middle school and memorizing all the girls' outfits because they were my idols!! LJ rocks always and forever.
It's kind of lame that I only know who this band is because they were on "The Adventures of Pete and Pete", but hey, I had to be introduced to them somehow. They definitely bring the funk, especially the drummer. Thanks for posting, VoxxVid
It doesn't matter how you find great music...just that you do find it somehow. Look at all the songs/artists being revived by the Guitar Hero series, for example. Some slag people off for only knowing a band like Sonic Youth because Kool Thing is featured in Guitar Hero III. I have no idea why that would matter.
I completely agree with you. I think it's all about identity. People who have been listening to bands for years scoff at the ones who are recently on board because they cannot possibly be as cool for getting on so late. Try interacting with any record store employee. I've never been made to feel so insignificant and ignorant as in that environment. I just recently started listening to the Jesus and Mary Chain, which means, by those standards, I must be the world's biggest loser
NO, this is from the show "120 Minutes" - not SNL.

A far cry from "Naked Eye"! This song is more like "House Of Jealous Lovers" meets "Devil's Haircut". ...sort of...

Hey is this a lezzy band? Not having a go at lesbians, but I don't see how any straight dude could be attracted to anyone of these chicks.
