WOW, I just checked Google's "Transcribe Audio" for this video, and boy, does it ever fail... Just look at what it says Kikoskia is saying when he reads the title [censored by me for no good reason] (0:12 - 0:16): "let's play state people director's cut to shop for $H!1"
I knew there was a reason I didn't ever turn Transcribe Audio on...

After having played and seen many new games for the likes of Xbox, PS3, PSP, and Wii, I can say this with complete surety: OLD GAMES ARE THE BEST!!!!!!! :)
@AcemanXD Yeah in america it's known as resident evil, while in japan it's known as biohazard. but i've seen no difference in the main enemies beteewn biohazard and resident evil.
@JeeKew They're forgetting the three rules to surviving a horror movie according to Scream. 1.) You cannot have sex, 2.) You cannot partake of alcohol and/or drugs and 3.) Never say you'll be right back, because you won't.
I really don't have the patience to play this game again. It takes forever to play which that would be cut in half if it weren't for those damn door opening sequences. ugh.
Lets be honest people, people would rather play this game on the Ps1 then RE5 considering its actually scary and has ZOMBIES.
Seriously if Capcom think they should bring RE6 out "As soon as possible" with the same rehash gameplay from RE4 and no survival horror elements then seriously, what's the point calling it 'Resident Evil' when theres nothing scary in it?
@Namel3ssTyranto Resident Evil 4 wasn't a bad game by any means, it wasn't exactly "Scary" but then again none of the Resident Evil's save for maybe the remake of 1 had any feeling of scariness or apprehension at all, they just had a good atmosphere and setting
Resident Evil 4 manages to hold onto the freaky enemies, good atmosphere and dark landscapes most of the time, however Resident Evil 5 was a complete failure on that front, saved only by the allure of Co-op Resident Evil gaming.
@VincentPrice111 RE5 was a damn fine game and had a decently deep story if you read all of the documentation and understand the significance of it in relation to the whole saga. I personally like all of the games in the series, and if you play 5 properly (off-line, no unlimited ammo, fresh game on Professional), its just as good of a survival horror experience as the others. The setting, while different from the norm, was very significant to the origins of the whole RE mythos.
@aweskermkh12 Personally I don't believe a thing you just said.
Villain X has plot item B that he's going to use to take over the world and make himself super strong.
Seems to come down to something like that, or close to it.
Not to say Wesker is a generic or boring villain or anything.
But RE5 had a terrible atmosphere and was all about the action, I've beaten the game on every difficulty and have never felt any fear or apprehension, now on Resident Evil 4 I have.
@VincentPrice111 Ok so I guess you don't understand the implications/origins of the Progenitor virus and the link it has to every other virus in the series. The origins of the Progenitor, Umbrella and Wesker mean nothing to you? Have you actually paid attention to the stories of the other games? You don't see the links with Eugenics/the Lebensborn program or the creation of utopia? Surely the point of the story doesn't escape you to point of "villian x has plot item b ", I sure hope so.
@aweskermkh12 The way they show you that part of the plot (or most of it at least) is completely half assed just leaving notes around (without any idea where they come from or who put them there and why) telling you these things.
If you don't read any of the notes (Which is sure to happen for a lot of people) then what I said is all you basically get besides, villain X is now working with villain B who is supplying him with plot item A that will help him take over the world
@VincentPrice111 You may think it's half-assed but I'd rather they go this route then have to explain every single plot point in cutscenes.
The point is that if you have decent knowledge of the RE universe, and go the extra mile to read all the documentation, the story is quite deep.
In today's ADD world, some people may have problems with how its presented and jump to conclusions that the story is weak, but its really not. That's all I'm saying here.
@aweskermkh12 I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, because I think if you can't really fit the story IN the game then you've got a problem, it's like in a comic and having giant story exposition before the comic starts.
Besides, I've played all the RE games and if you ask most of the fans they'll tell you 5 was a big flop in comparison to all the other ones, it isn't a 'bad' game, but it is a bad resident evil/survivor horror game.
I'd hard to tell what the fans really want. Some really hate CVX, some hate RE0, some hate UC and DSC, some hate 4 and 5, some hate 5 but love 4 and some love 5 and hate 4. I've played them all too many times to count and as far as I'm concerned, 5 is one of the best. Granted, it is miles different than the originals and even from 4, but I just accept it as an evolution of the series and enjoy it regardless.
@aweskermkh12 I thought all of those were a welcome change actually, in fact RE0 is probably one of my favorites (great soundtrack on that one) I guess I'm one of those that love 4 and hate 5 even though I don't really hate it, hell I beat it on every difficulty (on 2 player co-op) which I think was probably their best idea to incorporate
I would say the only really bad RE games are outbreak file 2 and survivor 1 and 2.
@VincentPrice111 I agree, I truly enjoy them all. Although, I insist 5 is more fun single-player and offline. I've never tried the Outbreak and Survivor series since I've never owned a Playstation of any kind, but I haven't heard good things about them anyway.
@aweskermkh12 I don't know, the AI on that game (At least for me) has been atrocious. almost intentionally not doing anything, dying and not saving me when I die
@VincentPrice111 Hmmm, I've always found the AI to be easy to manage in this game as long as you set it to "Cover" and use it store extra items, except healers. The only times that it died for me that wasn't a result of a mistake on my part was 5-3 on Professional. I had to use Rocket Launchers to take down Wesker ASAP because Sheva kept dieing again and again against Jill. I didn't have any AI problems on Veteran though.
@aweskermkh12 Weird, I won't say the AI is terrible just because of my experience though, I know depending (on I don't know what though) that some people experience really bad glitches for some games and others don't.
For example, lots of people say they have problems with Fallout new vegas, but I haven't experienced that many, if any real glitches
@VincentPrice111Yes, it might be possible that some versions of the game have an issue with the partner AI that makes it harder to be used effectively. That would certainly explain the divide between people that say they had no problems and those that seem to have nothing but trouble. Either way, I'm just glad mine doesn't seem to have any issues.
@Namel3ssTyranto I totally agree, all the elements that made it great are gone. No door scenes, no camera angles, nopuzzles nothing like it used to be.
@Namel3ssTyranto I wish Capcom would come out with another Breath of Fire game, Dragon Quarter was amazing. I suppose they're focusing on Street fighter and RE games now. but if they were to go down hill with BoF like they are with the RE series I'd prefer them to leave it alone, RE evil games were AMAZING back in the day, but I feel like rather than horror, it's become a 3rd person scifi shooter, that's not what RE was originally about.
@aristokraticassassin Agreed. Even if you can't make the games scary anymore, at least keep the spirit of the original, because that's what made it so popular. Thank God that Silent Hill is still going good.
@do0rkn0b I thought it was pretty great despite it being different from the rest of the games. I enjoyed the concept, the story, the dark atmosphere, the horror elements mixed in. sure it was hard at first, but I was able to beat it over and over once I got the hang of it.
@Namel3ssTyranto Since we're being honest, because you say RE5 has the same gameplay as RE4 i.e., over the shoulder camera, aim assist(laser), and such. Does it not matter that every RE before 4, with the exception of Gun Survivor, has the, as you would say, "Rehashed" gameplay? It was scary, back when I was like 10. It isn't, anymore, games are hard to make "scary" in this day & age. Move on, & stop complaining every time Capcom releases a new game in the series. Don't like it? Don't buy it.

@Namel3ssTyranto I'm pointing that after 2 games you call it rehashed. While RE went almost 10 years of the same gameplay. & Capcom tried something new, but purists complained. Also, what makes you think that you know more about the source material? THEY created the series. THEY know what they wanted to go for. & sure, i'll give you that 5 was to action. But 4 still had the vibe. It's your opinion & you're entitled to it. Also, I believe that "complain" still means "to express dissatisfaction".

@Namel3ssTyranto I thought RE 4 was scary, especially with some of the unique enemies like the garrador and regenerator. Even if it wasn't as scary as the original REs, it still got my adrenaline pumping. In RE 5, however, I don't recall being actually scared. Maybe surprised, maybe, but definitley frustrated at times.
@Spidermustdie Yeah, I agree, RE 5 wasn't scary at all. It gave me a headache actually; not because of the gameplay, but because... well, I don't know, because it just sucked all around.
@acekilla202 in my opinion 2 was too short in that i beat th leon a in about 3 hours 20 minutes after starting it for the first time and after that i beat the claire a in all of 1 hour. it took me about 2 hours to beat the leon b and about 1 hour to beat claire b. i then beat the hunk one in about 30 minutes. i personnally liked 3 the most. i liked everything including that it was hella hard on normal even after owning it on easy and i have never unlocked everything in it. it needs the remake
@lostsanityreturned by hardest i mean puzzle wise. there is NO puzzle in the entire resident evil series harder than the music box puzzle because it is always different and there is only sound based things. i only beat it by recordin it playing off the music box and then recording it off of the big one and comparing the sound waves. and the water sample puzzle was fairly tricky too. in 2 there was no puzzles that were difficult. the only thing hard to me was killing birkin 4. birkin 5 was easier
I don't know about the numbers, but you're seriously saying this game has better voice acting than Oblivion? That is so false no matter how you look at it; the voice acting in this game is like something out of a bad B-movie; in Oblivion, it sounds more like real dialogue, ect.
@JMDub89 I have no idea how you can even suggest that Resident Evil didn't have the best voice acting in the world - compared to Oblivion - Todd Howard.

Kiko, I'm not sure if you already knew, but the Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil for the Wii, or the updated RE1, has much better voice acting, and the characters look cooler, if you haven't checked it out yet, you should :P
in the room it would be either 30 or 60? theres a code where if you hold the right arrow key for a few seconds on the arrange mode. if done right, it would turn green, making you have double the ammo and i think the game might have been a bit easier
3:42-Since when did it take THREE bullets from a bloody MAGNUM to kill ONE ZOMBIE? Did Barry graduate from the Advanced University of Imperial Soldier Marksmanship or what?
I dont understand that when barry shoots the zombie it takes 3 magnum rounds to take it out. But when you eventualy find a magnum for yourself it takes only 1 shot to down the rotten fuckers.
@benlovesdrugs Granted, but the first two shots didn't strike the head, the third blew the head off and like I have said previously, even the great Barry Burton can't score a noggin knocker shot every time.

I'd hard to tell what the fans really want. Some really hate CVX, some hate RE0, some hate UC and DSC, some hate 4 and 5, some hate 5 but love 4 and some love 5 and hate 4. I've played them all too many times to count and as far as I'm concerned, 5 is one of the best. Granted, it is miles different than the originals and even from 4, but I just accept it as an evolution of the series and enjoy it regardless.

@aweskermkh12 I thought all of those were a welcome change actually, in fact RE0 is probably one of my favorites (great soundtrack on that one) I guess I'm one of those that love 4 and hate 5 even though I don't really hate it, hell I beat it on every difficulty (on 2 player co-op) which I think was probably their best idea to incorporate
I would say the only really bad RE games are outbreak file 2 and survivor 1 and 2.

@VincentPrice111 I agree, I truly enjoy them all. Although, I insist 5 is more fun single-player and offline. I've never tried the Outbreak and Survivor series since I've never owned a Playstation of any kind, but I haven't heard good things about them anyway.

@VincentPrice111 Hmmm, I've always found the AI to be easy to manage in this game as long as you set it to "Cover" and use it store extra items, except healers. The only times that it died for me that wasn't a result of a mistake on my part was 5-3 on Professional. I had to use Rocket Launchers to take down Wesker ASAP because Sheva kept dieing again and again against Jill. I didn't have any AI problems on Veteran though.

@aweskermkh12 Weird, I won't say the AI is terrible just because of my experience though, I know depending (on I don't know what though) that some people experience really bad glitches for some games and others don't.
For example, lots of people say they have problems with Fallout new vegas, but I haven't experienced that many, if any real glitches

@VincentPrice111Yes, it might be possible that some versions of the game have an issue with the partner AI that makes it harder to be used effectively. That would certainly explain the divide between people that say they had no problems and those that seem to have nothing but trouble. Either way, I'm just glad mine doesn't seem to have any issues.

@Namel3ssTyranto I wish Capcom would come out with another Breath of Fire game, Dragon Quarter was amazing. I suppose they're focusing on Street fighter and RE games now. but if they were to go down hill with BoF like they are with the RE series I'd prefer them to leave it alone, RE evil games were AMAZING back in the day, but I feel like rather than horror, it's become a 3rd person scifi shooter, that's not what RE was originally about.

@do0rkn0b I thought it was pretty great despite it being different from the rest of the games. I enjoyed the concept, the story, the dark atmosphere, the horror elements mixed in. sure it was hard at first, but I was able to beat it over and over once I got the hang of it.

@Namel3ssTyranto Since we're being honest, because you say RE5 has the same gameplay as RE4 i.e., over the shoulder camera, aim assist(laser), and such. Does it not matter that every RE before 4, with the exception of Gun Survivor, has the, as you would say, "Rehashed" gameplay? It was scary, back when I was like 10. It isn't, anymore, games are hard to make "scary" in this day & age. Move on, & stop complaining every time Capcom releases a new game in the series. Don't like it? Don't buy it.

Also, what makes you think that you know more about the source material? THEY created the series. THEY know what they wanted to go for. & sure, i'll give you that 5 was to action. But 4 still had the vibe. It's your opinion & you're entitled to it. Also, I believe that "complain" still means "to express dissatisfaction".

Even if it wasn't as scary as the original REs, it still got my adrenaline pumping. In RE 5, however, I don't recall being actually scared. Maybe surprised, maybe, but definitley frustrated at times.

@acekilla202 in my opinion 2 was too short in that i beat th leon a in about 3 hours 20 minutes after starting it for the first time and after that i beat the claire a in all of 1 hour. it took me about 2 hours to beat the leon b and about 1 hour to beat claire b. i then beat the hunk one in about 30 minutes. i personnally liked 3 the most. i liked everything including that it was hella hard on normal even after owning it on easy and i have never unlocked everything in it. it needs the remake

@lostsanityreturned by hardest i mean puzzle wise. there is NO puzzle in the entire resident evil series harder than the music box puzzle because it is always different and there is only sound based things. i only beat it by recordin it playing off the music box and then recording it off of the big one and comparing the sound waves. and the water sample puzzle was fairly tricky too. in 2 there was no puzzles that were difficult. the only thing hard to me was killing birkin 4. birkin 5 was easier

in the room it would be either 30 or 60? theres a code where if you hold the right arrow key for a few seconds on the arrange mode. if done right, it would turn green, making you have double the ammo and i think the game might have been a bit easier
