nothing really 2 fight about becuz the ipod shuffle (shuffle means like u shuffle a deck of cards and misx up right now) thats what it is. then walking around with ur ipod nano and looking at the screen then yea. but really if theres a song u really want 2 listin 2 theres a probelm
When u connect ur Ipod to computer , Itunes will come out. Then Click on music library and press second mouse button on your song and press delete(or remove) Then SYNC your Ipod And the song will be removed.
yeah the ipod shuffle isn't really tailor made for showing off to friends and such. Its really made for jogging and working out where you don't want to have to mess around with a complicated (I don't mean hard to use) interface like the touch, iphone, nanos, ipod classic.
Really it is perfect for working out. If I had the money I would buy that as well to go along with my touch
i totally agree, i mean...if you you were to get on a treadmill or go jogging for like an hour or two, you wouldn't even go through your whole playlist, providing you listen to each song the whole way thru instead of just skipping after 1 minute for each.
@lunaday47 240 songs is indeed a lot of songs. If you take the time to actually listen to all of the songs you would go nuts :-) When you put the songs on shuffle it makes it worth even more.

I like the ipod shuffle very much! I got mine back in March 2007 and have thrived on it ever since. That clip is a really awesome component of the shuffle. I can clip it to my shirt while hiking, biking, walking or just gardening and not worry about the ipod falling off.
Also, I have more than 240 songs because some of my songs are less than four minutes long.

I have the new 80GB Classic and i was thinkng of buying a shuffle for jogging/excersise ONLY, since the classic does get bothersome. Especially when wanting to change the song or make a volume adjustmnt. An Apple iPod Radio Remote would be perfect, but it's $50.00 US...the same price as actually gettin a shuffle. Hi guys!! I have a question. I know that this little thing plays the songs in random order. Is it possible to organise them in different lists (according to the singer or whaterver) like you do with the Nano?
I'm not sure if this will work for sure, but try naming all the songs by number in the order you want. (e.g. 01 track, 02 track, 03 track, etc). Delete the artist name and album and make all the music's details the same except the titles of course. You won't even be able to see your song's ID3 tags so what's there to loose doing this. Make sure shuffle is off, and it should work. Hope this helps :)

The first original iPod Shuffle is better then the new one. It's too small. I have the older model and I love it. Apple shouldn't have came out with a new look for the shuffle, but make it cheaper.
People, people. Shuffle and iPod Nano & Video etc. are for totally different use. Shuffle is a great partnet when you're jogging and need a very small and light device. You don't really browse through the songs while running! Of course I don't know if any of you actually jog or do other things than whine on YouTube :D

For those of you who don't have an iPod, ask for one for christmas so you can rid of that 8track. Seriously though, I have 192 videos, 4489 songs, 82 podcasts, pac man, and tons of files. I've had it for a year and even dropped it in the toilet.. Apple support is great and it's a kick ass machine with style, so I'm recommending it.
Also, my dad has a shuffle and if you have an editing machine, I just created a really long track and exported it as one big music file for creating playlists. But if you don't have that capability, buy another brand with a screen!
i use an Apple computer, but i never got into the i-Pod craze although Mac has by far the best hardware designers out there. but i think i'll wait for the i-Pod "Tic-Tac"... you just swallow it like a breathmint, then the nano technology pumps the music through your bloodstream and resonates with your tympanic memebrane.

all i did to put music on my ipod is i downloaded itunes, then i plugged my ipod into the coputer using the dock and then u buy itunes songs and then u just put them on yr ipod once there down laoded. it sounds complicated but its surprisingly easy.

I have this one, and a boy at school doesn't believe it's a iPod, i've told him to go to apple, youtube, everywhere but he still doesn't believe me, he says that anyway if it was an iPod he's sure this is the oldest version, because it has no screen, what can I do to make him understand, THIS IS AN iPOD!!!

I just purchased the i pod shuffel . I play in a band as a guitarplayer . I think its great to be able to have all the songs i need on one small device. at one time i left the i pod on for a day and i could still play music . Its still new so the batterys probably fresh yet. Rock on apple...

The first original iPod Shuffle is better then the new one. It's too small. I have the older model and I love it. Apple shouldn't have came out with a new look for the shuffle, but make it cheaper.

People, people. Shuffle and iPod Nano & Video etc. are for totally different use. Shuffle is a great partnet when you're jogging and need a very small and light device. You don't really browse through the songs while running! Of course I don't know if any of you actually jog or do other things than whine on YouTube :D

It's an improvement on the original shuffle, but it's nothing compared to say, the new nano... It's cheap though, so I think it was pretty good.
Just wait 'til next year, that thing'll be like, 50 bucks or less.

this is good for people who excersise. When you go running or to the gym you dont need to worry about carry a bigger mp3 player, and plus this is cheap. Its a big improvement on the first gen shuffle

okay see heres the thing-the shuffle is for outdoor type people who want to jog without the larger ipods-its small, clips on, goes anywhere, and a gig is about hour and half of music, so its perfect for a marathon race, or just a couple mile run-if you want to listen to a certain song take it off shuffle then skip through songs, which are now ordered by artist, till you get to the song you want-the shuffle cant do everything, but it is trying to fill a small niche in the market.

For those of you who don't have an iPod, ask for one for christmas so you can rid of that 8track. Seriously though, I have 192 videos, 4489 songs, 82 podcasts, pac man, and tons of files. I've had it for a year and even dropped it in the toilet.. Apple support is great and it's a kick ass machine with style, so I'm recommending it.

Also, my dad has a shuffle and if you have an editing machine, I just created a really long track and exported it as one big music file for creating playlists. But if you don't have that capability, buy another brand with a screen!

i use an Apple computer, but i never got into the i-Pod craze although Mac has by far the best hardware designers out there. but i think i'll wait for the i-Pod "Tic-Tac"... you just swallow it like a breathmint, then the nano technology pumps the music through your bloodstream and resonates with your tympanic memebrane.
