In Feb. '08 I photographed some in the Meadowmont pond next to Chapel in the Pines. If these are the same ones, they sure get around. But they seem to have vacated White Pines so they probably just follow the creeks down and fish out the ponds!
WOO HOO the otters are back!! The kids and I are going to run by White Pines tomorrow and see if we can catch a glimpse!! The video is FANTASTIC... thanks for sharing, Dave!

Very, very cute. Just this weekend (MLK) they (or a different family) were at Lakemont Pines Lake having a feast! ( Are those two lakes connected?)

Go around 2:30-3:00 and check out the ice on the lake near the picnic area. It looks like they are diving for crayfish in that area.
