Fur bearing animals do not get skinned alive. The ONE video clip (7 years old now) of the ONE raccoon dog getting skinned alive was pretty much proven to be staged by the animal rights group the SAP.

Poor animals.. this is so cruel, so unfair. We can use other materials that are warmer. Fake fur looks the same. Killing an animal for its meat, I can understand that. Animals kill each other as well. Though the killing methods are horrible and should be changed. But just for fur, that is sick. I just wish we could do something to save them. All those bastards who treat them like that must suffer just like those poor animals. Such things make me hate to be a human :( I'll never wear fur.

We all know about the fur trade and animal cruelty for many years.To stop animal cruelty you first have to change the law in your country of residence.Once you force your government to criminalise the sale, possession and distribution of fur you have solved the biggest part of the problem. If people get arrested for wearing fur they won't be wearing it .So it is time to go to your member of parliament and demand for a change in the legislation in your country. Get the media involved.
