Wait..was the Mystery Category one of the 5 categories in the game? In this case, the 6th question on Jack's podium related to Flags (not one of the 5 categories)
Me too, did the "Mystery Category" appear during Bill's tenure as host chrisivision? Because I know you have the 9th Season Debut episode that you timer recorded yourself. BTW of the game shows that handed players money, only this one and Card Sharks '86, and Treasure Hunt use real-life American Dollar Bills.
@Ivoryface86 Bill's first season did indeed use the Mystery Category, as evidenced from the WOR-TV commercial for TJW, there was a clip of the 7 Mystery cards on the podium.

Has anyone ever pulled a triple on the Mystery category?

@johnissoevil Yes, in fact one of them was during Joe Dunn's reign in 1983........MC-Joker-Joker.

That "Mystery" category must have been popular with the contestants. I.I.N.M., it was the first of the "specialty" categories used on TJW.

The best part of this game is the contestant gets paid on the spot. Other game shows follow this format; "Card Sharks '86",
"Scrabble", "Super Password", and "Sale of the Century".

I guess the audience did not count along with Jack as he paid the winner of the Bonus round at first

That didn't start until later on in the first season.

Darn, he didn't let the guy spin to see what would've happened there after the guy quit with the $850.

Usually the audience would count along with Jack as he gives the money to the contestant... :-O

"Mystery Category," huh?
Now I know what those extra slips in front of Jack's podium were used for.
I remember seeing a picture of Jack behind the podium w/ those seven slips on the cover of the "Best of TV Game Shows" CD in the past.
