Daewoo knows how to make a weapon. You get the reliability of an AK-47, and the accuracy of the M16 in the Daeoo K2 Assault rifle and in Machine guns you get the reliability of the PKM and the accuracy of the M60 in the Daewoo K3.
anything Daewoo freaking sucks. My friend bought a Daewoo car and it was literally dead by 45,000 miles everything just fell apart. I would never trust that company with making firearms. Buy AMERICAN
@dubweiser9 You can't trust them with firearms? Daewoo is making some excellent rifles. The K2's gas system is amazing. It even takes STANAG magazines with that different gas system. I don't know about cars but Daewoo is bringing out innovative and reliable firearms to the market. (By the way, there are different divisions in Daewoo.)
K2's are the gun meant to replace the dated American made M16. Instead of buying foreign guns, Koreans tried their own hand at making a reliable gun, and they pulled off an amazingly reliable gun.
The US gun enthusiasts were saying that K2s or DR200s make an excellent med range combat sniper weapon. Now ROK army has finally taken cues and issuing sniper version.
@The54321gravityCAT Type 89? well although its not as high damage as qbz, its pretty light and maybe more accurate. qbz can shoot in any extreme environment condition. I say they're both good. I don't know why CF made Type89 so shit.
yea ma dad used this gun when he was in korean army and he still has it till this day in america its still considered an ar-15 since it still uses the same interchangeable parts
@sensesfail2435 come on now...you cant say that. M-16 is still an influential weapon design and the US has some SCARs and about to get HK416 (I think that's like made by both germans and americans?)
the daewoo k-2 rifle is the standard rifle for the republic of korea armed forces. my brother, as with many other medically fit south korean males, go through compulsory military service and shot this gun

The AK47 is unreliable, and is susceptible to breaking and/or jamming. The only good value to the Kalashnikov is its ability to fire armor piercing Type B-30 rounds.
I don't know how to campare this rifle with an M16, though. The two weapons seem fairly alike to each other.
Actually,an ak47 will never jam or break if you maintain it properly...the only thing that is not good in it is the fact that its weight is outdated compared to the newer assault rifles, but its very powerful,
the AK47 is susceptible to jamming??? are you drunk? it's one of the most reliable weapon's systems ever made.
The Daewoo rifles have what is essentially an AR-type lower reciever and an AK-type gas system. it takes the accuracy from the M-16 and the rugged reliability of the AK-47. ti's pretty awesome.
@firydeth I've actually had an AK jam on me when an improperly tensioned Chicom 75 round drum went wacko on me. The bullet got behind the FCG somehow and locked her up, but it was an easy fix. Also, standard magazines can malfunction if the magazine springs are weak or damaged. With most guns, the weak link of the platform is the magazine.
I thought it was a Scoped G3 rifle, looks like a German rifle to me

I see more of a liking to the StG44 than the AK. Beautiful rifle.

I like this rifle.
This is the real son of a gun.
An offspring of AK47 and M16.
It has the reliability of the AK (ALL time KILLER) and the accuracy of the Sweet 16.
