You should check out his stuff from the shrapnel cd's guitar on the edge, specifically "hey vato", "mule skinner" and "tommy lamey" all with Scott Stine who is a great player as well. For anyone not familiar with D Taylor or S Stine. These guys were playing at this level before anyone new who RC or that overrated guy in DT were. They deserve kudos!

Keep in mind that this video is 15+ years old and there are probably about 15 guitarists on the planet with legato technique at that level NOW. Players with that kind of technique and the ability to apply the technique tastefully in a musical way don't grow on trees. I get your point though- he's just noodling around here...ironically that makes it even more impressive.

@ExtremeBogom I bought it as a download from CFH, its not really "instructional" more of a lick bag, but some AMAZING stuff. This guy doesnt just have an awesome legato technique. He has a section on phrasing, chicken picking and crazy sounding bends. Awesome player! Really inspiring. However, i cant seem to get hold of any of his music unfortunatly!

Got it a little while back, and tbh I was a little disappointed to find he uses the hairband trick, but he does do some pretty tasty licks in the video.

I think it's called "dystrophy", and you can either get it direct from shrapnel records' site, or suprisingly there's a copy on Amazon UK (second hand though and pricey).

I say go for shrapnel, that's what I'm gonna do.
