    I'd suggest moving the thumb to the deck's side now - it's more recent technique and even less evident (see JE's top cover pass explanations on this).

    Oh, yeah. Regarding DL - why not trying Martin Nash's "knock-out" DL? It's the most natural - as admitted by most performers.
