The Left has no clue about the Constitution. If we took the Constitution literally, there would be no abortion, no separation of Church and State (freedom OF religion not freedom FROM), Senators would be appointed, Judges would have term limits, and States would have their own laws. There's no way the Left would go for that (the real Constitution). They believe it is a living breathing document, subject to change.
