lol I was waiting to see if she would sing "plump girls" or "song birds". She said "fat girls". That made me laugh. It was just unexpected.

does anyone have Beverly Sills singing this one. I heard it about 25 yrs ago on the radio so it might be audio only but Beverly was a lot funnier

Beverly Sills did indeed record it. I think it was the best version, by maybe because it was my introduction to the song.
I believe it was on an album she made with Sherrill Milnes. If not, it may have been her album of Viennese music recorded with Andre Kostelanetz.
