Geophagus brasiliensis digging

how often do u need to fix your tank up i have two brasiliensis and the buggers dig it up to the point where i have to do it near on every day lol

Hi. I'm keeping one of these at the moment as he is digging up all the gravel moving it all around the tank. Is this normal. Cause there is no other fish in the tank with him.

Also is there anyone to tell the sex of them.
