@Brisky26 what you're seeing to the left is precipitation. The rain curtain/core was to the left/behind the camera. The wall cloud feature in the centre was visibly rotating, with areas of very low rotating scud and funnels forming over and over.
@Brisky26 Na mate VK was filming in the perfect spot....you were looking at the warcloud which from a distance looks like its touching the ground.but in actual fact is the calling card in a supercell like this for tornadic activity u can clearly see the 2 tornado's form in VK's film..tornado on the left classic wedge tornado...and the right 1 was a rope tornado both looked like they had massive potential
Oh my god.. I saw this from the Craigieburn Bypass. I thought it looked like a funnel cloud, but my partner didn't believe me. I can't believe I was right! We raced this weather back to Craigieburn haha. Great Capture, thanks for posting!
@CwAziEGiRl camera battery died at the most damn inconvenient moment!!!!! By the time I got a new one in, it has dissipated. Storm was moving quite fast too. Had trouble keeping up with the selection of road directions I could take.
@MrBrotherbear1977 also my stepbrother got band new car and they hitting on roof, he have to pay insurance cost him $3,000.00 that destroy Xmas Days..
I saw this thing starting to come together over Ballarat. I was outside when I spotted the rotating hook cloud. It dropped a small funnel that curved back over my parents house, and I managed to point it out to my family. It dissolved quickly and continued on its way to Melbourne, only to drop a tornado and keep spitting out funnels near my house!
I wasn't quick enough to film it in Ballarat. Good work!
