That's real. We don't speak about that on the news because it's less impressive and because it's rare than only one landslide kill more than one earthquake for example. But landslide hazard is very important for a lot of country (Central Asia). We also don't speak about that because it's, generaly, a consequence of earthquake and so the deads are the deads of th earthquake and not of the landslide

Actually there are the Wichita Mountains and MT. Scott which is 3200 Ft. There are land slides that occur in these mountains.
