  • They should get rid of the USCCB.

  • The sad thing here is that there are loads of good charities one could give their money to which don't promote homosexuality and abortion. A real sad state of affairs. But it doesn't surprise me.

  • Hi Michael Voris thank you very much for your research on these corruptive orginizations. I will not fund the diocese of North Carolina.. God wil not abanden us.. Ave Maria.

  • Why do we even need the conference at all? Can it be disbanded by the Vatican? or at least remove everyone and start over by appointing appropriate bishops?

  • Again, we turn to RealCatholicTV for the truth. I personally know the Director of my state's CC. We attended a Catholic University together, he is an honorable man and a religious man. He has a wonderful family. But, I have noticed some interesting changes in his almost 30 years association with the CC. I won't discuss those changes here but we all need to realize that the Democrat Party has become a bastion of godless, marxist interlopers who have the power to influence good people.

  • Do we know who the specific Bishops are who comprise the USCCB or at least who the bishop-leaders are?

  • All the Bishops in the USA are members - the leaders can be found on their website.

  • Well this is a shocker to me. Are you suggesting that the USCCB is pro-choice or that they simply support organizations that reflect Catholic social teachings as well as other left leaning causes? If the primary administrative body of the CC is openly working against the CC itself, then it time to seriously consider abandoning it.

  • @oriondt-I disagree with ever considering abandoning the CC. Just because there are people who are trying to destroy the CC does not mean we should abandon the Church created by Christ. How many followers abandoned Jesus when they tried him and found him guilty? We should expose the imposters who claim to be Catholic but are not. If they do anything against the Catechism, we should expose them for what they are. Many will continue to attack the Catholic church because it is pleasing to Satan.

  • I think oriondt was talking about abandoning the USCCB, not the Church herself.

  • The Pope is the Pope.. JPII immediately removed a bishop in El Salvador when it was revealed the bishop promoted revolution theology. What Archbishop O'Malley, Archbishop Wuerl, and Bishop D'Arcy have done, plus many others, is much worse. It is long past time for Pope Benedict XVI to board that plane, come over here, remove these disobedient bishops and replace them with good priests.

  • We have come to expect and we get straightforward and honest comment from Michael. God bless him.

  • Absolute obedience is one of the vows recited by many Clergy and Religious, to my understanding. We, as Laity, are allowed to question -- See my post on Cannon Law. The full reference is Code of Cannon Law 212, § 3 ( I ran out of char space before).

This quote defends our right as Catholic laity to question our pastors and Bishops on matters that may oppose our faith and promote evil, anti-Catholic agendas and heresy.

  • ABSOLUTE obedience is NEVER required; if a superior said "murder someone" that is NOT to be followed.

One is only required to obey actions which are not unjust.

  • "According to the knowledge, competence, and prestige which they possess, they [the Catholic laity] have the right and even at times the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful, without prejudice to the integrity of faith and morals, with reverence toward their pastors, and attentive to common advantage and the dignity of persons" (Canon Law, Canon 212, § 3)

  • Thank you both so very much for exposing these evils that are connected to the USCCB. The Catholics need to know this. Keep up the good fight. We appreciate it. May God Bless all that you do for this cause.

  • Michael,

Excellent synopsis on USCB. As a college student in the late "60's", and a member of the Newman Center at CSU, Fullerton, CA., The "experiments" with liturgy, the questions concerning papal authority, priestly celibicy, and what is the exact nature of an annulment, were all experienced first-hand, in concrete, daily activities.

    Pax,

    Tom Sporman

  • Hi Tom! What a small world! I, too, attended a few Newman Center activities at CSUF in the late 90's - early 00's.

Great week-long exposé. Keep up the good work Mike and team! And as always, God Bless =)

  • Since when can the laity question our bishops? If the Holy Father or the CDF repudiates something said by the USCCB, please let us know. Until then, I'll continue to submit to the teaching authority of the bishops. That's how the Church's hierarchy works.

  • >> Since when can the laity question our bishops?

    Since forever.

    >>If the Holy Father or the CDF repudiates something said by the USCCB, please let us know.

We just did; the USCCB supported abortion. You have have missed the Church saying abortion is bad. However, please rest assured she did.

    >> That's how the Church's hierarchy works

Not at all - the implication of blind obedience is not Catholic. When the bishops are supporting evil, we get to question.

  • "I was just following orders" seems to be your line here - and is no defence. It was used a number of times previously, and is not a good justification for allowing evil to go unchecked.

Make no mistake - the USCCB is supporting abortion, homosexuality and so forth. I note you don't DENY or challenge these things; you simply say we should let them continue because the bishops are bishops.

    Not on my watch, buckaroo.

  • .

The USCCB dissregard or (do not fight ) for the basic moral teachings of the church.

The liberal USCCB gives lip service, they complain and send letters to congress, but when they are ignored they just accept the government policy.

We have been a state run church for years.

The lay faithful, we pro-lifers are routinely dismissed as "trouble makers and radicals. I guess we are living up to the example of Jesus Himself. Areal trouble maker in His time here on earth

  • Useful information. Good job!

  • I always wanted to know who they were and what they do, but the website is cryptic. I'm speechless at the knowledge you've given me here, Michael. Its awful. Is anyone telling the Holy Father about this?

  • Thanks lads! This is like lancing a boil! - Blessings - Rene

  • Is this really an authentic Catholic network?

  • Define "authentic" - all participants are Catholics in good standing, we are theologically reviewed by individuals holding degrees from Vatican institutions, and every single last thing we say is doctrinally correct.

  • Thank you!!!! The stronghold will be brought down all for God's glory!

  • Catholics living in the US need good Church teaching on the Doctrine of the Church. The Bishops need to be responsible and support only those organizations that are in union with Church teaching. Laity need to know when/if their donations are being misused! Laity need to withhold funds if the teaching of the Church is undermined in such a way as is being reported here. Uncovering the roots of this issue is very important. Thank you Real Catholic TV for the excellent journalistic work!

  • the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops is just as bad, but that's another episode of RCTV lol

  • The Bishop's conference is a sneaky way to give the *appearance* of authority for Church teachings.

  • Can we just dissolve the USCCB?

  • We can't. They can.

We have called for its disolution before.

  • Can the Holy Father dissolve the USCCB?

  • He can order whatever he likes - he is the pope.

The question is; would the Bishops obey him? Or would there be a schismatic rebellion? Discuss . . .

  • I would almost welcome the schism. At least things would be out in the open. All this weasling and psuedofatihfullness drives me crazy. But then again would the Holy Father and the Vatican take the necessary steps. I guess we need to wait and see what happens with the rebelious orders of sisters who have out right refused to obey the Holy Father in the investigation of religious orders here in the US. Any any rate, my take is purify the Church and She will grow.

  • >> I would almost welcome the schism

    Only almost? :)

  • Perhaps you're right. But schism is a sad and painful thing...even if it brings about good. But you're right, we should desire the good no matter the cost.

  • For a different perspective I believe that schism has begun with the USCCB. We're just trying to resist it.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you, for yet another video to share with all my Catholic friends! These are horrible apostasies they need to know about.
