All I can say is that I was so OBSESSED with this band. I remember that I was about to embark on a one-month trip with my parents, and I actually kissed my Giuffria poster good-bye and cried a bit. .... I also wrote a poem about the band, if anyone is interested.
It's kind of difficult to forget what you didn't know. Rudy Sarzo isn't the Bass player in Giuffria. Never was.
As an old man who grew up with this band, trust me. When this album was out, Rudy was playing with Ozzy on tour as well as playing for Quiet Riot. God Almighty, I REALLY miss these guys and music staright from the heart. Good stuff

He has been named one of "hair metal's greatest keyboardist" which is not saying much. He is competent and more skilled than your average player but that is about it. Lets say he is a B level player compared to Keith Emerson and Emerson himself is a C level (giving him a lot of credit) compared to Jazz or Classical players of note. Since you said "100 piano/keyboardists list of all time" it has to include all that are at a higher level than Rock musicians and that makes the statement laughable.

He has been named one of "hair metal's greatest keyboardist" which is not saying much. He is competent and more skilled than your average player but that is about it. Lets say he is a B level player compared to Keith Emerson and Emerson himself is a C level (giving him a lot of credit) compared to Jazz or Classical players of note. Since you said "100 piano/keyboardists list of all time" it has to include all that are at a higher level than Rock musicians and that makes the statement laughable.

You kow, the only thing I don't like about the words to this song are that third verse. It just sounds so desperate, like he just cna't bear to let his lady go even though she wants to move on with her life. Desperation is a real turn-off to women. I know frim first hand experience :(

I did the Noon newscasts for a couple of different radio stations at Central Michigan University from 1984-86. I ALWAYS used this song as my lead in. Loved it then- teaching my Grandson to love it now!

The band David played with was "SORCERY" from L.A. In my opinion, Sorcery was a better band, more rock and not so commercial. They were on Dick Clark specials(search on you-tube "Sorcery TV appearences")

No, Greg was not the singer of Angel. He only did keyboards. The lead singer was Frank Dimino. He supposedly did some vocals with this band.

Blackmore is an asshole. When Giuffria toured with them, he made them cut their sets short and no solos were allowed. What a pussy. No solos because he knew in his heart Craig Goldy blows him the fuck away. He didn't want to be shown up in front of all his fans, because they would know how much ass he sucks. And this is song doesn't even come close to showing Craig's skills. Fuck Deep Purple and thier weak ass attitudes.

I love watching these cheesy '80's videos. But we all thought they were the shit back in the day!!!! I don't remember this hair band back in the '80's. I've just recently heard their music on Hair Nation on Sirus radio and looked 'em up on you tube. I agree with what rocktoy79 commented about the keyboardist playing 2 keys at the same time-not next to each other. I guess that way all the hot chicks could see the hot bod in spandix and lace!!! Gotta love the '80's!!! Rock on!!!!
