  • I will never get sick of that song :)

  • the singer kinda sounds like sammy hagar

  • Loved this song. I was working in radio when it came out and the listeners ate it up. I, too, wish the band would have had more radio hits. Very good stuff.

  • To spider... if I hand four hands, I would've played four keyboards.. I was born a prodigy you idiot. Gregg Giuffria

  • But you'da been surrounded by keyboards on all sides and woulda starved to death without regular air drops.

    Richard Clayderman.

  • Don't listen to spider. It was your keyboard playing that caught my ear on this song when I heard it on the radio as a teenager. I never saw the video until I found it here. If I can find the CD for the album I plan to add it to my collection.

  • Awful Older Rock

  • Great tune. Goofy guy playing two keyboards at the same time. That looks fucking stupid. Too bad this band didn't go farther.

  • If you've never seen a dude palying 2 keyboards at the same time, much less this way, then I know you are not a musician that plays with keyboarders...they can do this in their sleep, and they do!!

  • 'googy guy' would be writer, producer, front man Mr. Guiffria (Greg Guiffria) so it woulda been kinda tuff to pull it off without him.

  • Great tune but the berk using the two keyboards is too much.

  • 'berk using two keyboards' would be writer, producer, front man Mr. Guiffria (Greg Guiffria) so it woulda been kinda tuff to pull it off without him. lol

  • Yeah, but it just looks like he's showing off 'cos there's a camera on him. I've seen folks like John Lord play two keyboards before but they were just in two tiers. Not at 180 degrees to each other.

  • Ok, that's a fair observation.

  • It's more likely that any one of these guys (except the drummer) look like Joanna Kearns.

  • The woman looks like Joanna Kearns a bit here.

  • Yeah, that's probably his mom on the phone, telling him to get a haircut and a real job. Shitty 80's vid but good tune though.

  • hahahahahaha

  • Will someone please tell me what AOR means I'm clueless

  • Album Oriented Rock.

  • or art oriented rock

    or adult oriented rock

  • Adult Orientated Rock

  • Steve Perry ,check for the small bus out front

  • GREAT SONG!!!!!! Thanks for posting

  • The singer is David Glen Isley he's married to Olivia Hussey and is an occasional Actor and does commercials. I have seen him in one for The Cable Company COMCAST where he is the owner of a Drum Shop.

  • awesome aor song!!!

  • Whoever directed the video for this timeless hit just absolutely doesn't know music...WTF, the video sucks so bad. They could have done so much more visually with this song! I'm "P-O'ed"

  • Relax, bro. This is pure 80s. I had to grow up in that decade and if you think this video is horrible, you should see some of the stuff that didn't make the top 40.

  • i can say its pop hair metal !

  • The keyboardist is playing two keyboards at the same time. It can be true. On another hand, this could´ve been heavier. This song is not metal.

  • he sounds similar to that singer forgot his name, something soto anyone know who I am talking about? also similar to the guy from y&t but not sure why someone thought close to Europe?? totally different sounding vocalists. the only similar thing to europe is the keyboards and strong choruses.

  • jeff scott soto??

  • Jeff Scott soto. He rocks. Kind of sounds like him but not really. Good stuf regardless.

  • Steve Perry???

  • Great music

  • I emember when tis song came out 1985.Whent to the record store lookin for the new Journey album cause at the time it sounded like Journey.Found out later it was this new band Guiffria.

  • he doesn't sound like steve perry, but both are great singers.

  • Not even close to "the one and only" Steve Perry.... I would compare them to Europe instead...

  • There's more to journey than Steve Perry who isn't even an original member.

  • Get out of here with that Steve Perry

David Glen - softball hero - master of all band geeks - - SWEET VICTORY my kids tell me what I already know - "dude's voice is awesome"......

    [

'eks", an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. the Steve Perry

  • i know hes not steve perry. and sweet victory isnt that great and thats not why i like him.

  • woah! just like steve perry!

  • this dude sounds just like steve perry! great old tune!!

  • lol at icemaiden!

  • Great song...DUMBASS VIDEO!!!!!!!! With some videos, WTF were these bands thinking???

  • Please don't die 80s, don't let todays shitty music take over!!!

    this band fuking rocks!!!

  • I had a couple of Giuffria albums back in the day, but the band never really caught on or got that big. I don't remember ever seeing them on MTV/HeadBanger's ball at all. Overall, not a bad band, but not really heavy metal at all as they were more on the Bon Jovi side of metal. Actually they sound alot more like Journey.

  • Greeg Guiffria ia my high school crush!!!! He is still so crushy!!!!

  • Hey the lead singer looks like Mark walberg ''RockStar''

  • Somebody needs to buy Craig Goldy a sandwich or something before he falls over. If he stands sideways, he disappears!

  • The singer sounds just like Michael Bolton.

  • lol

  • Love the synth rack ala Steve Porcaro! I miss melodic rock!

  • Or Keith Emerson for those of us that are a little older and remember the greats from the early to mid 70's

  • Wow - I opened for these guys back in the late 80's! Fun to see this video!

  • ahh memories!!!

  • Most (if not all) the members of this band were in the short lived band "Angel" (or "White Angel") in the late 70's.

  • WTF Look at the HAIR. It need a waring "Keep away from open flames!"

  • ? It's just a typical 80's hair style

  • Just me or does this singer sound like Steve Perry from Journey.

  • dude effie money is playing keyboards so maybe it is steve perry!

  • greg here is in analog heaven what happened to Goldie after dio

  • Is it just me or does the woman in the video look a few years older than the singer? Notthattheresanythingwrongwiththat. She definitely doesn't look like the type who would date musicians. She looks like she wouldn't even give time of day to a musician. Or take their calls in a restaurant. I guess if I wanted reality I wouldn't be watching an '80s music video on youtube. Keyboard player Gregg Giuffria was with the band Angel before starting his own band.

  • I do believe this was one of the first videos played on Friday Night Videos. Survivor "The Search Is Over" was played on the same night too if I remember well, I was distracted berween this and WWF.

  • "Wait....is that Paul Urbano on drums???"

  • kids now need a rockstar, that's why so many kids listen to rap now.. theres no Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, or Randy Rhoads of this generation. I think that's why so many pussies and old men took over the rock music scene.

  • you're wrong! :-)

There are many amazing new young bands(not in US) that rocks!

WORK OF ART google myspace woa artwork

    H.E.A.T. myspace heatsweden

    BROTHER FIRETRIBE myspace brotherfiretribe

    OUTLOUD myspace outloudtheband

  • All of those bands and records and heros still exist, it is just kids are not exposed to them. Just because some are dead doesn't mean their music died with them.

  • F***ing hell! I've heard this song many times since I was very young, but I didn't know the name of the band...I just got here because of Olivia Hussey (she reached fame playing Juliet on the classic Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet from 1968) and on Wikipedia it says she's married to this singer...David Eisley... :)

  • can anyone give me invitation 2 80's glam rock in facebookkkkkkkkkkkk,so that everyone1 can dicusssss about 80's music,,,,,,,,,,thanks in advance.......c u my friendddddddddd.......

  • Man-I lived in L.A. from '82-84 and we saw bands like this every weekend (and seemed like same 6 guys like CG and Rudy Sarzo were in every band;-)

L.A. was and is the place for killer rock. I live in NY now and it sucks in comparison (but then, I am a hell of a lot older now, so I probably suck too..)

    Long live the 80's

  • no bro - you r true = this is the real deal- it is alive and kicking-i started playing bass 5 years and I am kicking ass with it - just playing along - RUDY SARZO!

  • nah man, youre right, todays music sucks, thats why people from other generations listen to this MUSIC. 18 but diggin' the 80s

  • Why did you leave L.A. ? I'd stay if i had lived there in that time.

  • NO, YOU DON'T SUCK. Time sucks!

  • L.A.'s scene sucks now. Moved out here 9 years ago and the music scene I moved out here for no longer exists and has just gotten worse every year. Major buzzkill. It's the times.

  • Fuck the radio - I don't remember these guys on radio back then - they wouldn't play them grunge didn' kill shit - It was the radio and pop music then as it is tday - yea lets play the same ole shit for 30 years and call it differant names - I used to request all this killer stuff in L.A. back then - maiden, priest ,testament and many more and the sacks wouldn't play them until metal show at 3 a.m. fuckkkkkkkkkkkk Radio (then) I hate classic rock because of this !!!! same songs forever suck

  • at ease mate! this band kicked ass!!!!!!!!!!!

I FEEL FOR WHAT YOU ARE SAYING THOUGH- NO ONE HAD THE BALLS TO PLAY MAIDEN, MSG, SCORPIONS, PRIEST DIO ETC.... THATS WHY WE LISTEN TO IT TODAY:D LOVE YOU MAN--ROCK ON!!

  • Don't know where you lived but here in conservative "Censor-nati" WEBN 102.7 played this on the way home from work,5pm.Sorry you had it so rough.Me, I have room for any amount of music I want to listen to.

  • Because great music like this was on the radio all the time back in the '80's I think we all thought these kinds of bands would be around for a very long time. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Grunge killed the hair band scene and now I look back and wish I could go back in time and go to every concert and appreciate just how good this music really was!

  • This didn't get very much airplay at all.....I saw this played on MTV and MuchMusic.

Great song and great hair!!! lol

  • Why in God's name can't those fat ass music execs who sit behind a desk and smoke those big cigars get it through their heads that bands like this and music like this is what people are craving? We don't want hip hop shoved down our throats. And we are sick and fucking tired of the shit the Disney Company is putting out. Let's get back to rock and roll for a change! How fucking hard is that to figure out? Jesus, people are starving for some kick ass rock! Listen to US, GODDAMNIT!!!!!!!!!

  • I couldn't have said it better spider. Unfort. I didn't know their music back then, just discovered this song on Sirrus and fell in love w/his voice. I miss the 80's music, THAT was music, unlike most of today's shit.

  • All I can say is that I was so OBSESSED with this band. I remember that I was about to embark on a one-month trip with my parents, and I actually kissed my Giuffria poster good-bye and cried a bit. .... I also wrote a poem about the band, if anyone is interested.

  • Rudy Sarzo playing bass....I had forgotten that

  • It's kind of difficult to forget what you didn't know. Rudy Sarzo isn't the Bass player in Giuffria. Never was.

As an old man who grew up with this band, trust me. When this album was out, Rudy was playing with Ozzy on tour as well as playing for Quiet Riot. God Almighty, I REALLY miss these guys and music staright from the heart. Good stuff

  • No way dude......

but I think what makes you think that. The guitarplayer is GRAIG GOLDY, who always reminds me of Rudy Sarzo. They could have been twins...

  • Did this singer do the singing for Mark Wahlberg in that "Rock Star" movie?

  • No, the singers who were singing in rockstar are..

Jeff scott Soto and Michael Miljenko.

This singer sounds a lot like Steve Perry...

  • Thought the samething as noted on my comment.

  • The lost band is Angel, a hard rock band in the 80's...

    Great music

  • One of the "Lost" Great bands.

  • you guys fuckin rock!!!!!! Keep on truckin!!!!

  • this song is about MY mom....lolz

  • Great Song!! And can you say HAIR!!!!! There is more hair in this video then I have seen in 15 years

  • this was a great band but if you want more hair

    take a look at x japan .

  • LMFAO I got to this vid from a top 100 piano/keyboardists list of all time- and this guy was number 1!!!!!!! he's just another pop synth player, wtf??? He's ahead of, well, everybody. Soooooo funny whoever made that list musta been retarded

  • You obviously need to educate yourself on Greg Giuffria's body of work, there is a good reason somebody would put him as number one. You're the one who is retarded.

  • even if he is good, think about EVERY SINGLE other pianist/keyboardist who ever lived. He beats them all?

  • depending on who made the list and what their favorite kind of music is, it's understandable why greg would be their number one. I would like to see this list could i get a link?

  • He has been named one of "hair metal's greatest keyboardist" which is not saying much. He is competent and more skilled than your average player but that is about it. Lets say he is a B level player compared to Keith Emerson and Emerson himself is a C level (giving him a lot of credit) compared to Jazz or Classical players of note. Since you said "100 piano/keyboardists list of all time" it has to include all that are at a higher level than Rock musicians and that makes the statement laughable.

  • yes, much agreed. there are very few rock keyboardists that can even compare to a jazz pianist in skill. I say that as a huge fan and listener of both genres

  • Look at that Moog Modular...

    Where are the "Angel" videos?!

  • Cheesy video! Ive always liked this song and i was a headbanger! He does sound like Perry, thats a good thing! I prefer Goldy with Dio! Sending this out to my 5'2" blonde ball off fire Cindy!!

  • Cheesy yes, But a Great Song! Sorry Radio Missed it. But They Miss To Much!!! Radio Sucked Then and still Does!!!

  • No, I haven't I'll try to check that out. I do think house of lords is my favorite group he put together.

  • Hey my sister has the same hair-do as all these dudes.

  • Angel wasn't bad enough I guess, Giuffria thought I can take the triteness and cheesiness to another level I know i've got it in me. Mission accomplished dude.

  • When this initially came out I thought it was Steve Perry and Journey.

  • The woman at 1:4o wants to get rid of her Corporate husband, for one more run with the boys and their Ultra Hair.

  • If ANGEL Would have came out when G did they would have cleaned the floor with this line up!

  • This video would deserve more hits.

  • Great song and video, thnx 4 uploading, its appreciate memory that goes with it and the love i had

  • Russ, back off dude, this is a great rock love song and It has its place in history.

  • thanks for the advice mr. relationship expert!

    LMAO!!!!!

  • You kow, the only thing I don't like about the words to this song are that third verse. It just sounds so desperate, like he just cna't bear to let his lady go even though she wants to move on with her life. Desperation is a real turn-off to women. I know frim first hand experience :(

  • I did the Noon newscasts for a couple of different radio stations at Central Michigan University from 1984-86. I ALWAYS used this song as my lead in. Loved it then- teaching my Grandson to love it now!

  • Good taste! Keep the idolation on.

  • this is back when mtv actually played music videos and not all that reality tv bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great Song

  • also the singer was in alot of other hit groups that he led, that we're real good

  • Have you seen him in the group "Sorcery" on the Dick Clark shows they did?

I liked him in the band SORCERY more,

just thought he was more rock.

  • Nope! Giuffria was composed of Gregg Giuffria (keyboards), David Glen Eisley (lead vocalist), Craig Goldy (guitar), Chuck Wright (bass), and Alan Krigger (drums).

  • Does anyone else here Steve perry?

  • Yeah I did back at the time and still do. Not the whole song but there are some notes that do sound of Steve Perry-ish.

  • The band David played with was "SORCERY" from L.A. In my opinion, Sorcery was a better band, more rock and not so commercial. They were on Dick Clark specials(search on you-tube "Sorcery TV appearences")

  • terrible

  • Who did David sing with before this? I.m sure I heard him on something that made me a fan before Giuffria.

  • Angel

  • Comment removed

  • this came out when I was 14 I still like it

  • Pretty windy in that studio steve perry on drums

  • Comment removed

  • Boy! That really must have sucked huh? Yeah. Thank god for REM.......?

  • Thank God for shitty bands like REM...whatever...you are comparing apples and oranges dipshit. They are two totally different types of music, and if you like REM then there is no way you would listen to Giuffria.

  • I like REM and listen to Journey and Slayer.

  • REM blows ass.

  • No, Greg was not the singer of Angel. He only did keyboards. The lead singer was Frank Dimino. He supposedly did some vocals with this band.

  • was Greg Giuffria the lead singer in "Angel"? Anyone? Thanks!

  • He was the keyboard player for Angel...

(Frank DiMino sang lead for same)

  • I remember my friend thought this was Steve Perry when I showed her the video she was longer interested,I always liked this song !

  • Didn't they go on to become The House Of Lords?

  • im not sure all of the members did. but yea they sorta became house of lords.

  • Hair Metal at its best! Loved this band.Forgot all about them till I heard this on Sirius Satellite Radio ch 23.Hair Nation.

  • Blackmore is an asshole. When Giuffria toured with them, he made them cut their sets short and no solos were allowed. What a pussy. No solos because he knew in his heart Craig Goldy blows him the fuck away. He didn't want to be shown up in front of all his fans, because they would know how much ass he sucks. And this is song doesn't even come close to showing Craig's skills. Fuck Deep Purple and thier weak ass attitudes.

  • Blackmore is a great guitarist but sloppy at times

  • His ego has become so large that he thinks that no one else has skills. I remember the concert where he was showing off and threw his guitar up in the air and tried to catch it but broke his finger and dropped the guitar instead. HAHA!

  • Very ghey; is that Bama in the video?

  • FUAROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Get a hair cut.......hippies! =)

  • Wow, Does anyone hear the Journey/Steve Perry influence like I do?

  • Yep. Good call. The similarity is striking.

  • I honestley thought it was a Journey cover.

  • I was in my 20's in the 80's,nothing like the "Spandex and roll of quarters in my pants" look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Spandex and Quarters maybe, but that "Frizzball" Hair has got to go.lol

  • Well the spandex can go, I think the hair is sexy!

  • I think any lady would be happy to have a gentleman sing this to her. Damn good love song if you have an 80s lady and who cares if everyone liked it or not. If you dont like this music click on something else because if you are here on this page you obviously like it enough to say something good or bad :-)

  • WELL SAID !!! j1d2s328...I'm an 80's lady & I'd melt if someone sang a song like this to me...Good comment...

  • Comment removed

  • TOP SHELF

  • i got to know this song from GTA VCS, veyr good song

  • Some songs should never have videos, this is one of them.

  • Giuffria only had two cd's but very underrated...both can compete with Journey of the time if not better!

  • I love watching these cheesy '80's videos. But we all thought they were the shit back in the day!!!! I don't remember this hair band back in the '80's. I've just recently heard their music on Hair Nation on Sirus radio and looked 'em up on you tube. I agree with what rocktoy79 commented about the keyboardist playing 2 keys at the same time-not next to each other. I guess that way all the hot chicks could see the hot bod in spandix and lace!!! Gotta love the '80's!!! Rock on!!!!

  • GREAT BAND...GREAT SINGER......GREAT KEYBOARD PLAYER AND LEADER!!!!!........they were sooooooo underated!!!........and Gene Simmons wanted a DIFFERENT SINGER??.....i DONT THINK SO .......i LOVE his voice....ALWAYS DID..

  • so agree with you,,thanks,,,,,Dany,,,,

  • All the hairspray used by the 80's hair bands is at the root of global warming-lol

  • This guy had a Van Hagar sound to him, not bad really, considering. You gotta love the two keyboards guy too!

  • miss the 80ts shit The crap the play today there is no love or talent

  • hehehe....loved this genre of Rock...

  • Steve Perry fuck David Lee Roth mother..wow

  • The best Craig Golgy guitar solo!

  • ark

  • sweet ass 80s aor music

  • Love you chewychewy1213- i ditto the opinion. The 80's had some weird S, but better than all the copycat crap that you hear these days. Dam, when I listen to the radio these days (a rarity), I even hear crap that sounds like the The Outfield!

  • This video was brought to you by the Letter "G".
