Y'all need to go ask the Chileans, the Guatemalan, or any number of countries that have had "free market" principals forced on them by the CIA. @TyeDatup68 time to brush up on the math skills. First 22,000 (assuming 22t means this) divided by 60b (assuming billion) = 3.66 * 10 to the -7 or $0.000000366 people. But even assuming you really meant 60b / 22t = 2,727,272 people. This is hardly enough for all those that want to go to school. Not trying to make fun or anything like that. I just believe it is time we looked straight at the numbers everyone is throwing around.

Most of the problems we have in this country are not anywhere near the way both sides of this "debate" make them out to be. The biggest issue we have is a true lack of education by the school of hard knocks (better known as life) and the idea that 600b divided by 300m is a lot of money per person.

Remember one thing. If you tax everyone that makes more than ~45,000 a year 100% of their income our government cannot pay its bills. I do not believe that 45k a year is 1%.

Lastly if you tax the "top 1%" 100 % of their income you will accomplish two things. 1. You will as we can see by the numbers above be no where near paying for an increase in spending as their money will run out before a few months at best. @. Who will you take from next year? Once you have cleaned out their bank accounts where will they get the money from next year? How many will loose their jobs then?????

You sound like those from the late 40"s when they sent money and goods to the rest of the world to rebuild with after WWII. It took a while but the inflation that hit our country was really rough in the 60"s and 70"s. Where do you think that came from? Once again our government is trying to spend the rest of us poor.

@lestat17902 under the Breton woods agreement bankers would confiscate american wealth and use it to rebuild factories overseas to compete with american jobs . This was done through a system of institutionalized inflation. Foreigners could redeem their dollars with gold and silver in the IMF trust fund but american citizens could not, eventually the bullion ran out in1971 when Nixon illegally removed the convertibility of silver from the dollar.

If you want to go to school you can do it at community college and then the chaepest last two years you can find in the country if you are willing to move and make sacrifices. Start saving your money for all of life. It is not free or easy to survive at any age.
