We just opened our new Pet Rescue By Judy Adoption Center! Thank you to all those volunteers and supporters who have helped make this dream come true!!!
I met Judy once a coulpe months ago on a vist to Florida to the Pet Rescue. Even though it was only one vist, I can see the work she does and how big of an impact it makes. I wish this rescue the best and I really look forward to seeing the new rescue finished!!! Good Luck!
If you all go to the animal rescue site, you can donate food for shelter animals at no cost to you, then you can vote for your favorite rescue to receive a grant. I just entered Rescue by Judy. Please go there every day and vote for her. Also click on the reminder and you will get a reminder to click and vote every day.
Judy is "Paying it forward".She is an example to us. She has put it on the line when others turned their backs. She asks not for herself, but for those who's voices are not being heard. Make a difference, change the world. One small act of kindness, might not seem like much, but you never can tell. When you rescue an animal, they invaribly rescue you right back. So, the life you save may be your own.
Judy focuses her energy always on dogs and cats who need her help. I hope she gets a place to give these wonderful pets time to find their forever homes. Unfortunately time is something they don't have at a kill shelter. We have two wonderful dogs who she rescued and then we adopted from her. One was from New Orleans with puppies and heartworm positive. The other was a senior who's time was up at local shelter. We are so thankful that she helped each of them and gave them that extra time!
I wish the best for Judy, the foster parents, and all of the animals in their care. You're all doing amazing things. Thank you for looking after all of those sweethearts and finding them forever homes. :)
Great video! It really captures the essence of PRBJ. I am an application screener and would like to thank the people who go to our website and file an application online. Please help us any way you can to make a permanent shelter for these animals in Seminole County. We have a temporary place but we, too, need a forever home.
Judy is a saint with a heart of gold. She deserves all the good things in life for her and her pets. We need to stick up for our animal friends...thank you, Judy.
My mother has adopted 3 pets from Judy and they have all been the most loving and adorable pets. I know that in the future my family will always feel blesses to work with Judy. She truley is an amzing lady!
Judy is an amzing woman. I met her 8 years ago when I first moved to Orlando and trying to place kittens that were born in th wild. She has one of the purest hearts that I and deserves everything that the world can give her to help save the animals.
The world would be a better place with more folks like Judy. I have two rescue dogs. The love, comfort and loyalty they give can't be measured. If my dogs had been handled any of these places that put dogs & cats down, a vast amount of love and joy would have been lost. Judy is a wonderful caring person and I give her credit for standing up for these wonderful animals. Judy,I will be praying that you will soon be blessed with all the money and land you need to accomplish your labor of love. Donna
Great job on this video, as well as the others, very nice to have Judy in it and let the people get to know a little of what she aims for. Judy you ROCK! and so do the volunteers, we are doing a GOOD thing, and I am glad to be a small part of PRBJ! I have some many new friends two and four legged ones, and even three legged!
As a former Orlando resident, I just can't believe that town doesn't have a no-kill shelter!!! Wake up, people!!!! All it would take is a lot of you giving a little bit to make Judy's dream come true. I know there are enough grateful pet owners in Orange and Seminole counties to take care of the finances.
There is no reason why Central Florida cannot embrace an No-Kill philosophy. We can reduce the number of pets significantly if there were low-cost spay/neuter clinics, if counties had an aggressive trap-neuter-release program for feral colonies, if Animal Control contacted and worked with breed and general rescues, if pets were licensed so owners of found pets could be contacted.... It has been done in other areas. It can be done here!
I totally agree! And I have always wondered, with so many veterinarians in the area, why they couldn't donate their time once a year to do free or inexpensive spayings and neuterings.
Spaying/neutering can cost anywhere from $70 to $300, depending on the vet. Is it no wonder why so many pets are not fixed, why the feral colonies are growing? The SPCA can do it for $30-$50, God love them, but they are booked 3 months out sometimes!
Shelters can be built through a few large donations or many small ones. We wouldn't mind a combination of both! :) We really believe the time is right for Central Florida to have a no kill shelter. Support from people like you keep our hope alive!
How great to see Judy's wonderful face on the video! The woman behind it all.......Judy, you are truley amazing and being a rescuer, I adore what you are doing and the fight you are conquering. Luv, Karen
PRBJ is an awesome community resource that is a unique characteristic of Central Florida. We are very lucky to have Judy and let's hope she finds a place to continue her endeavors! Good luck!
a Core of volunteers indeed! Judy, you Rock! The method in which you rescue should be documented and become a model for all rescues. I've never been so impressed.
Beautiful video; beautiful job not only the project itself but of capturing such a genuine side of Judy that is often times overlooked and/or not seen by those she encounters on the every day during her on-going mission(s) day in and day out.
Toward the end of the video (2:58) Judy speaks of the dogs and cats "thanking" her as they head to their forever home, I get choked up. I've seen her cry as they leave her care, sad to see them go, happy to see them loved at last.
Andy, you and your team have truly captured the spirit of Pet Rescue By Judy, indeed of all the small rescues throughout the country! Surely something good will come of all of this. The dream of a REAL shelter, bright rooms, green grass, room to run.... I know that it will one day be more than a dream. It is going to be a reality. Rescue, Adopt, Spay and Neuter ~ these thing will make kill shelters a thing of the past. Thank you for all you have done for us and the animals! ~ Holly

I'd rather see an abandoned animal helped and bailed out than see another investment firm or foreign country get help.
