  • @lowcarbcory Hey.. I think i'm at the weight loss part of my diet to do the 6 day water only diet.. but I have so much going on.. were i need the fuel to keep me going throughout the day.. I wake up around 4am.. and normally don't got to bed til 12 am.. I have to take and pick up my kids to and from school, work, school myself, and homework after their in bed.. would this even be a good ideal for me.. if i have such a busy life.. THanks .. Michelle

  • @candybox3200 First of all, I love your profile picture! You are GORGEOUS! About the Water Fast/Diet...I did do mine for 6 days...but I lost allllll my muscle AND all my nervous system conditioning. I had zero strength when I went back to the gym. I only recommend water fasting for obese people now. Low Carb to get insulin under control should be your goal if you are only 20-40 lbs overweight or so. Idk how overweight you feel you are. I eat a lot of whole eggs, tuna, veggies, etc.

  • @candybox3200 The key for me, being busy like you (although not QUITE as busy as you), is to plan ahead, where meals are concerned. I only drink sugar free energy drinks (no soda), and mostly as pre-workout drinks....I eat a lot of whole eggs, chunk light tuna, ground beef, bacon, and sausage sometimes, cheese, peanuts, organic peanut butter, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, turkey, chicken, etc. I only eat carbs other than veggies when I'm trying to build muscle.

  • @candybox3200 And when I do eat carbs like potatoes, grains, rice, etc...I get them right around my workouts. Like a bowl of light cereal and skim milk BEFORE I do weight-training, and then sweet potato cheaps and granola afterwards. But I always make sure to get at least .7 grams of protein per lb of my bodyweight. Gotta do that to maintain and build muscle. The less muscle you have, the less calories you burn at rest. So I definitely recommend weight-training for muscle!

  • Cory, if you ever want to read a book that gives an ironclad defense of low carb diets, and how healthy they truly are, you have got to read Gary Taubes' "Good Calories, Bad Calories". I recommend this book to anyone who chooses to speak about the health and weight benefits of low carb, because invariably they will get confronted by detractors who will denounce low carb as a faddish or dangerous. Taubes does an excellent job defending low carb, and demolishing the low fat dogma.

  • @alphacause I am very familiar with Gary Taubes. He is actually a big reason for why I switched to low carb and believe in it so much. it worked for me just like he said it would.

  • @enisorian I am familiar with Primal Blueprint - I'm a big fan of it and its creator, Mark Sisson. Atkins Induction wasn't too difficult for me, and I also don't count calories. I go by how I feel. This lifestyle has helped me get really in-touch with my appetite and improved my relationship with food. Thanks for watching! You should check out UnderGroundWellness on YouTube.

  • hey hey! Have you thought about intellectus 424 diet (search on google)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my sister lost a lot of weight with it.

  • @egibasit I have not heard of it, but I can research it and maybe even do a video about what I think of the premise of it.

  • Hi Cory. What was the purpose of the Fast?

  • @cfoster3406 I am doing my current fast to get down to 150 lbs, then settle at about 155 after I start eating normally (low carb) again. I would like a lean, ripped, Hollywood'ish physique. Trying to get to 8% bodyfat by New Years Day 2012! Wish me luck!

  • Hey Cory, I love your attitude very positive. I agree with you, Low carb is the way to go. All the best! Jay

  • @raceto140 Thanks, Jay! Many more videos with great info to come! Thanks for watching and for making your health a priority!
