blumac81, you need to eat plants in order to survive. If I needed meat to survive, then yes, of course I would eat it. However, it's possible to live on a meat free diet and still be healthy. Also, if you eat meat, you are actually consuming more plants than a vegan or vegetarian since it takes about 16 grains to produce one pound of beef. So it's kind of hypocritical to say that veggies are evil for eating plants.
Also, (sorry for going on and on but my cam broke so i cant do a vid) the reason you don't feel full is because your body is still producing the amount of acid required to digest meat, if your body has to produce less acid that energy for that process is given back to you, which is awesome.
If it was true that you could not get all you need from a plant based diet many of us vegans would already be dead or in the hospital dying, with doctors trying to convince them to eat some meat for the good of their health, this is simply not the case.
Well done for trying vegetarianism, but if you still want to eat meat so be it, no one can make your mind up for you, although they may try, it's a personal choice.
Thanks for sharing your questions, points, views and opinion.
1. Eat fruits then as they offered by the tree, then you aren't hurting anything.
2. Try eating a gazelle raw, you don't have the have the teeth or digestive tract for it, lions do. We are nothing like lions therefore cannot compare ourselves to them.
3. Our digestive tract matches that of an herbivore, omnivores and carnivores have much shorter digestive tracts that ours.
4. You don't have to take supplements.
What I say is do what works best for you, do what you feel is right
Those things are not sentient beings...they do not feel pain because they lack central nervous systems.
Your "canines" are not sufficiently large or sharp to tear through the raw skin and flesh of an antelope, like a lion's. Compare your teeth to a lion's and then get back to me. Also, even if veganism isn't "natural" that doesn't mean people shouldn't practice it...marriage isn't natural either, for that matter.
the supplements are made of natural sources mainly SOY BEANS, they are just soy beans processed to a form of higher concentrations where protein is more available in a small amount of substance....and please say vegan correctly...it is quite annoying VEE GUN
Actually there are more ways to pronounce the word take for instance: Venus--hence Ve(e)gan. Take the word Vegitarian--Vegan. Its a bit like saying
Toma(y)to or Tomato(e)---no pun intended. When me and my professor, a professor of Speech and Communications, would converse on the topic he would say the word like Matt does, where I would say it like you do.
Please take into account that cattle must consume a great deal of plants to survive. 260,000,000 ancres of rainforests have been destroyed the U.S. for farmland to feel cattle. You kill more plants than i do (i'm vegan).
there are 7 life-processes that define animals - movement is one, and I don't know about you but I've never seen a tree uproot itself and go for a walk. Sensitivity is another, and without a Central Nervous System, plants cannot feel pain.
Well done for trying.Only removing animal products from a meat based diet will let you surely unsatisfied. A little effort is to be made to achieve a successful vegan diet
Beans are full of protein. Peanut butter has got 27g of p/100g.We can't accuse lions of keeping gazelles in horrid conditions in factory farm, can we?
You don't need supplements to be vegan. Beside meat eaters often take supplements yet they consider their diet balanced. your teeth are sharp but not like a cat
Vegans dont need protein suplements. Soy, beans, etc have 2 times more protein than meat. We need vitamin b12. This vitamin once occurred naturally on the surfaces of potatoes, beets, and other root vegetables, but the move away from natural fertilizers has caused it to disappear from our soil.
I agree on the balanced diet thing. Westoners tend to eat far too much meat-it's probably more natural to just eat some meat a couple of times a week. Anyway, you've made me hungry and I haven't had breakfast yet!
just had a quick peak at this, my friend who is a vegetarian told me that she eats plants because they dont have a central nervous system...does this help?

Indeed but the one thing they have in common that really matters is that they are living... and both need food, water, and air to live.
