@clownfish1011 Your watching my video. I'm telling you the correct way to care for your Chameleon. And it has only one dislike. Thanks for watching my video.
chameleons are for experts because you need experience on caring for exotics like knowing what temps and humidity, gut load, calcium and vitamins, lighting are once you know all this care for exotics then you can pick the chameleons but also items that can be pricey
@lhmuhe2mlfy I take it to the the reptile specialist and she says, "hes in fantastic shape and way better than all the ones she has seen in her career..." This was a whole year ago and no he never had MBD. He's really stretched out in the video. I don't know if that's affecting his look?
@ReptileNation You own a leopard Gecko and a bearded dragon. The two first choice beginner class reptiles. Get a grip on the information before you dis someone who actually owns something worth taking care of.
@Sasseygirl22 The title does say, "Care guide to a healthy Chameleon" Nutrition is 50 to 75% of the care. Therefor taking care of the crickets is the priority for your chameleons care. "Sassy"
Hey iM Planning oF Getting oNe oF These But i Have a Question For You. Do i Have TO Purchase Like aNy License oR Anything For My Chameleon? o Yea aNd How aBout a Vet? i Really Wana Get oNe oF These So Bad. MsG Me Back Asap.
@Kode253 No license needed LOL, And I take mine to the vet when I notice something wrong. Like yesterday I took him to the vet. Because his eye was shut. Turned out he had an infection. And got hid meds.
if your like me and you buy 25-30 crickets a week you can just get a peice of sponge and wet it for water and put a half of apple in its cage and it works but cheeper just a little tip so you can save like 8bucks
@agustin10000 I handle my chameleon 1 time a week. when it was a baby. For about 10 min no more. And no turn off your lamp at night. They prefer colder areas, when they are asleep.
Blaming your Dad for your mistakes was hilarious and sad. Just admit you messed up and do more research next time lol. Habba Spits is no go, you don't even need a MistKing...just spray em!
awesome gutload solution: blend things like kale, dandelion greens, mustard greens, etc in a blender. Freeze a shit load at once, it lasts forever. Cricket Crack brand dry formula is an amazing gutload for the price (spirulina, bee pollen, brewer's yeast....way cheaper than at the store). Use sliced lemon(good Ca:P) for moisture.-for the crickets.
your dust bags literally have 1000x the amount that should be in there. If your crickets come out looking like 'ghosts' you know what I mean. The exact d3 will build up and be toxic. Use d3 free calcium every day, and baaarely coat them. If you use the proper gutload you will need very little calcium. 2:1 Ca/P...so nothing with oxalic acid like spinach or broccoli. You barely need Ca-d3 powder. Give him an hour of full sunlight (OUTSIDE...glass blocks UVB) 3 days a week and it will help a lot
Sorry man...you are doing some things reeally wrong. Nice cage(and the 24.24.48), nice foliage setup, nice lamp setup, alot looks great! Despite that, there is a reason your Veiled looks way unhealthy. First of all, Zilla is one of those companies you should 'boycott'. No such thing as 'humidity spray' unless its distilled water through a Mistking or something. Treated tap water with drops=no go. Flukers dry-or-wet=trash. If you have the right gutload, herptivite twice a month is a lot.
I do not recommend Flukers gut load as an only gut load for your feeders... Your feeders need LOTS more like fresh fruits and veggies. If your Cham has tongue problems it could be a lack of calcium in his diet, not funny. Your set up is fine but you REALLY need a real plant in there and he might just be ready for a big boy cage. May I suggest you doing just a bit more research? I'm not trying to be a jerk and sorry if it sounds that way just see a few things that need fixing. = )
@PrettyInInk87 You do realize this vid is 6 months old? And the reason I was laughing at my little buddy is because his tongue would roll back up wrong and he would have to stick it out and fix.Doesn't sound like a problem to me. And if you didn't see the guys follow up response, It sounds like I know what i'm talking about. And maybe in the description if you even looked at it theres an whole article on gut loading. Did you do your research on the vid before complaining? Is it clear now?
And yes he has a 2foot by 2foot by 4 foot cage, ITS BIG! XD. And you don't need real plants in the cage, I shall post a video in 20 min to show you my progress. :)
Hi, i noticed that my chameleon , had a lil bit of trouble shooting his tongue out this morning, (it was slow and did not go that far, but it did not stop him eating) anyway i have mixed a bit of garlic with water to give him in case he has a bit of an infection, does anyone know if this is ok to give to a chameleon as garlic is a natural antibiotic
@mialuk I have never heard of giving a chameleon garlic, This tongue problem should go away in the next couple days. Mine had the same problem. I was really worried when I saw this. But now I kinda laugh at it. Because his tongue Just folds up incorrectly when he brings it back in. (its rare) And common in a little more usual in a juvenile or baby.
@RECOMENDS2BUY Hi thanx for the advice , ur right he is ok now and can shoot his tongue ok, i only give him garlic because it is a natural antibiotic and maybe it will help for small things - mial
@JNB95@JNB95 Buy your decorations from petsolutions I did and its really cheap, Depending on how advanced you want your cage it could range from 200.00 to 400.00 dollars. Because the cages are pretty expensive. Just use paper towels as the bedding and change them daily. Reply with where your gonna get your chameleon from. Please.
@RECOMENDS2BUY I live in Britain and there are fewer places around which sell tropical animals but I would most likely purchase one from the nearest reptile and lizard store from where I live.
iv heard rumors and posts and things about a basking light being bad for there eyes and skin? is this true? so i know not to use one for my new baby guy.
@mrkoolaidman012 Mine has been under a basking light for 1 year, he was born last December. It is true its bad BUT! Only if its too close to the cage. So your gonna have to get a digital thermometer and set the Temp. scanner at the basking area. And make sure it stays between 75 F and 85 F Only around there. Too much heat can burn your little guy and to little will make him lazy and tired and he wont function properly. And BTW No heating mats when hes older.
@danmar2661 Your little guy is trying to act like a leaf,in motion caused by wind. Mine still does this once in a while and find it funny cause we could still see him. LOL
@mriceman0619 Hes doing great. @XDparrots NO!!! Thats Horrible basking temp. LOL At that temp you will cook your chameleon or he will get thermal burn and you risk loosing him :( , The best temp is around 75-85 and no more over 85 Mine got thermal burn around 87 So as you can tell 95 is crazy!! If you have any other questions Fell free to ask Its fun helping out a new chameleon owner.. :)
