I've enjoyed both of your videos and agree 100% with your views on US healthcare. A family friend had a stroke and made too much money to be eligible for in home care, so it's left to his wife, who is already over age 70. Another friend over age 90 fell and sliced his arm open, yet was turned away from two clinics because he had the wrong type of insurance.
Also, If a doctor won't accept your insurance you pay out of pocket or get no treatment. It's all about the bottom line.
There is a law that people do not get turned away from getting treatment but the wealthy does have better benefits than the rest. But if you were poor you would still get treated but you would have a bill to pay. Going to the emergency room could cost you without healthcare $400 in one visit. Ace bandage $120 on the bill but at the store $20. 4 kids went to the dentist for a cleaning and 1 cavity cost me $700 my insurance did not kick in yet. Doctors still take anyone they do not go by cost.

I dont think hospitals in the U.S. can refuse service whther you can afford it or not. Of course you still have the bill. My wifes health insurance was $169 dollars dental is $24 a month to be covered and then like you said the insurance will use any loophole they can to not cover you.

the fact its for profit makes insurance companys try to drop you, so your fine until something really bad happens .
I was paralysed they thought for good Im ok now but you can bet if I was a yank they would try to not pay out for me for decades .
being a brit I didnt have that worry .
