  • thank you for the explanation, great job!!!

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video to do something that my art teacher never took the time to do. And we are talking about a college credit class.

  • @TheArtistMarta Thanks for your comment. ;) For further colour mixing info, take a look at the website paintbasket dot com. Go to the TV at the top and click then, look at the list of lessons on the left. There is a great colour mixing one and, links to the 'Colour Buster'. Let Nolan know I sent 'ya if you buy one. ;)

  • @carlosgoferreira You may have to go through their home page at wetcanvas dot com

  • @Topdoginuk

    Thank you for the help

  • @carlosgoferreira 'Ya welcome! ;) If 'ya don't get any success, just let me know and I'll see if there's owt I can help. On the subject of colour mixing, take a look at paintbasket dot com It's a great website for Artists. I've also got a playlist of Art videos developing that you might like to take a look at.

    Cheers. ;)

  • @Topdoginuk

Hi. Sorry but there is no way to get in your site: there is a DATABASE ERROR when I try to join for the free on-line course

    Thank you anyway :)

  • Thank you very much for your video and explanations of the colour wheel, much appreciated. to"@failtosync you should be doing a course in decency. "Human beings deserve a minimum of respect, the level of respect we expect for ourselves"

  • @majadaro Thank you for your kind word and, the reply to @failtosync! That person was very abusive for no reason. His comment has been removed since after I answered his nasty remarks of saying I was a 'fu**ing retard who didn't know what I was talking about'!

    Thank you. ;)

  • Thank you sir.

  • @MrFallenSkillz Thank you too! Merry Xmas Day ;) (make it a colourful one!) ;)

  • @Topdoginuk Merry Xmas.

  • what colour makes yellow answear back when you see this quickplzzzzzzz

  • @TheMandymegan Yellow is one of the Primary colours and can not be made up.

  • Comment removed

  • @failtosync For the benefit of newbies and to keep things simple, the system of using the basic primaries is fine. Most people looking at say Michael Wilcox colour mixing system find it too overwhelming.

We can create any colour from the primaries or, as you like to call them by the fancy ink names, Cyan, Magenta, yellow. Plus white. We can make black by mixing 100% Ultramarine Blue + 50% Cadmium Red + 25% cadmium yellow.

Secondaries & tertiary colours are obtained with chroma considerations.

  • @failtosync Even though you are clearly abusive, I will take time out to answer your accusations of being a 'fucking redard'.

Manufacturers produce different hues of colours that do not tally with expectations of Artists. Pigment quality can differ as can chroma strength and longevity.

Many people get carried away purchasing tubes of colour without understanding they can create their own. Raw Umber for example. A mix of Cad yellow with purple produces the same.

    More? Don't be insultive then.

  • Thank you for posting this!!! You made the color wheel usable and much mor understandable for me to undserstand.

  • @imfrayedknot Thank you for your comment. It's great that you are benefiting from my video. ;) The Colour Wheel is a great tool. Have you seen the 'Colour Buster'? It's by Nolan & Denis at Paintbasket dot com. That's a great tool for when you need to identify colours in a picture to replicate for painting. Cheers. Tony ;)

  • who else sees faces under yellow blue white and black?!

  • Good tutorial!

  • Wow... i want that colour wheel so badly ):

  • @ellexvici They're available at most Art stores. Good luck.

  • Very educational. I needed to refresh my memory. Thanks.

  • @crackthishacker Thanks for comment.

I'm intending to create a series that carries on from this video. The emphasis is on learning the essential need to understand and acquire an ability to identify and replicate colours of a scene, to enable a person to then do a better painting.
