Is a nessie sighting really a police matter?

  • Well, they didn't waste any time getting to the point! Hehe, I love this show. Especially the theme tune.

  • LOL !!! High hopes to bump into one of the thousand Nessies! LOL

  • I can never hear or say ness without thinking about, you know, the earthbound ness.

  • YES! Now this is a show! Not like the Demon Headmaster crap!

And my Czech housemate has just informed me it wasa big hit in 1980s Czech republic!

Obliously their goverment used the Loch Ness monsters as symbols of capitalism!

  • Angus = Phillip J. Fry.

  • to kfpostman

  • I think frecious-ness looks like a mixture between Godzilla and a loch ness monster.

  • (wasn't possible to write all lyrics)

  • There's such a lot of mystery surrounding Nessie's Pond, But if you have secret thistle whistle You might spot a Nessie of your own McTout blows on his bagpipes, Whilst Elspeth & Angus watch Those notes go floating across the Waves. Ferocious-Ness appears at once, And grabs a note or two for lunch, And the whole of the Family Ness is not too far behind Sporty-Ness leaps over him, Turns up-side-down and dives back in, And the beautiful Lovely-Ness shows she's the kissing kind!

  • first aired 5th october 1984 ( I was 6 months old ) lol. but it was repeated way beyond that because i vividly remeber watching it being young, wasn one of my faveourite shows- good memories, they dont make kids tv like this now!

  • i bet they where all looking for a god dam tree fiddy

  • this was banned

  • How come?

  • lies

  • this was never banned.

  • This was never banned.

  • Why does the footage start before the audio?

  • LOL! I even made a Mii of annoying Professor Dumkopf! He's a Mii who I make fun of.

  • lol, what a classic!

  • i myself am Scottish!!!

and this to me is too steriotypical!!!!,

but if this was still around would watch it

    lol:)

  • well perhaps you would have prefered the children to be in sombreros or maybe cosack dress?but the way i see it,a childrens programme about scottish places, plotlines and....well a make-believe scotish monster might have worked better with a scottish theme to it?thick twat.

  • could you upload other episodes?

  • :'( voa iorar kon estos dibujos ='[

  • why is it banned?

  • It's not banned, I don't know which jerk came up with that one.

  • omg cartoons were so trippy back then. Wow it'd be dope getting high watching the Family Ness!

  • Techinally, it's in Scotland

  • First, WTH?

Second, I read somewhere that this episode was banned.... Do any of yall know somethin about it? Anyone know why?

  • I'd totally forgotten about this show, but it's all coming back to me. Not only a delightful theme song (on par with the 'Raggy Dolls' theme)and introduction, but also delightful characters. A forgotten classic. Also wonderful to see a cartoon spoken in the beautiful Scottish accent.

  • Solid british animation, kids don't have the attention span for it anymore.

  • Correct. And the positive messages of this stuff would be lost on them anyway. If only they would replace one or more of those pointless Freeview shopping channels with an 80s kids TV station as an alternative to the imported junk shown on ITV nowadays or the BBC with its worthy but ultimately dull preaching about obesity and climate change. This would definitely make the cut, along with Danger Mouse, Dogtanian, Willy Fogg, Bertha, Postman Pat, Jimbo & The Jetset, He-Man, Inspector Gadget...

  • What a top idea, and with the current wave of nostalgia around the 80's, it would also be really popular, no doubt about it. Each cartoon could be interspersed with interviews from the creators, a few words from the fans etc...

  • By the way just thought i'd say that danger mouse is actually back on childrens bbc!! It's a great program

  • Up and coming generation does, at least those under about eight, because the mercury was taken out of childhood vaccines in 2001, hence IMO the recent fall in special needs diagnoses. I'm of the generation given the most mercury and yes I'm bitter. :-p I don't have much of an attention span but I always loved this, they should put it back on :-)

  • Technically its scottish!! And i love this program!! I think you're wrong though! Kid's have the attention span for this!! I mean it's pure class! Who wouldnt like this???

  • Firstly Scottish is British, and secondly it is only set in Scotland, the guy who created it is from Birmingham. Aside from that, how can kids possibly have the attention span for this? Cartoons these days move at such a pace and are full of effects and style.
