I saw local TV news of the San Francisco Torch relay. Most San Franciscan spectators just wanted to see this likely once-in-a-lifetime event, but most of them were to be gravely disappointed. I am most touched that Olympics torch was carried to Himalaya peak by a mixed team, Tibetans, Hans, and a Tuija person. Also very touched that the recent earthquake, which claim victims including ethnic Tibetans, everybody is helping in full strength and work together as a big family in this disaster. I saw local TV news of the San Francisco Torch relay. Most San Franciscan spectators just wanted to see this likely once-in-a-lifetime event, but most of them were to be gravely disappointed. Last year, I was in Highschool in China. I have to say that I now hate the olympics lol, not for political reasons but because I got so annoyed of Chinese teachers speaking about it 24/7. They were like "You should get good grades because the olympics starts in 497 days!" WTH??

The real issue is not Tibet. It is the western media's psychological unpreparedness to accept the resent rise of China as another civilization quite different from theirs. Although China was the most culturally and technologically advanced country for most time of the last 2000 years, the west only mostly remember China's downtime since 1840, while forgetting it's China's inventions like paper and technology to print that helped the rise of the west since 16th century.

This is really the end of our beautiful human civilization. Why we use this olympic games as a political playing only because China is so successful with its economy and we become jealous and we try to pull them down with the issue of human rights which could be figured before we agreed that china would be the host?
