  • Now Cipher! why is this linked to "black history channel" tho'!!!? that's dead

  • I tell you the truth after reading the comments on this page it reflects that no finite mind can comprehend things infinite

  • @Omnicron777 What does the lower self breed slander, murder, lewdness, theft and anything that harms if man must find his devil he must look with in his name is self. Wow prime example

  • @Omnicron777 fuck u

  • Wow.No wonder the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said"There is no such thing as a dinosaur. We have been on the Earth for trillions of years and we never recorded seeing a dinosaur.

    PEACE

  • these comments are funny lmmfao just goes to show the lack of common sense..do you know 'ANY" person on this planet whose skin color is literally "Black"? we are all various shades of brown and then there are those whose skin color is pink, sort of like the texture of a pigs skin. All BS aside think before you speak people please because while trying to make other seem ignorant or inferior your validate those claims on yourselves.

  • I really wish this dude name wasn't "Hakim Bey". Seriously.

  • do any body know what language the Moors spoke?

  • @ImalHasan They spoke arabic.

  • @bittercottoncandy

what are some of the Arabic words that are still used in english today

  • @ImalHasan The number of arabic words used in English is residual.

  • @bittercottoncandy

what are some of the Arabic words that are still used today in the english language

  • @ImalHasan Well, I can think of harem, assassin, algebra, hashish, zero, azimuth

  • @bittercottoncandy

    zero is Latin and Italian

    hashish is Amharic

  • @ImalHasan

Nope. Zero is arabic (from "cifr"). Hashish is also arabic, means dry herb if memory servs. Then it originated assassin via french. Im pretty sure of this ones.

  • @bittercottoncandy

we dont use the word cifr in english. so you cant use zero as an example.

the word HASHISH is a Amharic word for sure. Amharic and Arabic share some of the same words.

  • @ImalHasan Cifr originated cipher, which is commonly used in English. And Cifr is the etynom of both cipher and zero.

As for hashish, maybe it's used in Amharic, I wouldn't know but its origin, I assure you, is arabic. Look it up on wikipedia, there's a good article on the "hashshashin".

  • @bittercottoncandy

I am talking about words that are used with their original sound and definition. YOU CAN NOT USE CIFER. CIFER AND ZERO ARE DIFFERENT SOUNDS. AND CIFER IS NOT COMMONLY USED IN ENGLISH AS ANOTHER WORD FOR ZERO.MATTER OF FACT, I HAVE NEVER HEARD THE WORD CIFER BEING USED FOR ANOTHER WORD FOR ZERO.

as far as looking to wikipedia for info? lol. are you joking. wiki is the worst place.

and why would you look to wiki when all you have to do is study the languages.

  • @ImalHasan Must say, I'm always delighted to get feedback in caps...

I was pretty clear in my explanatrion of the origin of the words. There's no such thing as an original sound because languages change (others quite simply die) and the same thing can happen semantically.

I'll conceide that wikipedia has its shortcomings but claiming by default that it is the worst place, well, that's the excuse of the obstinate. Doubt you'll find any divergent result elsewhere but if it happens yay on you.

  • @bittercottoncandy

the truth of the matter is this claim that the black Moors were originally from America ( always here ) is BS. There is no trace of Arabic ever being spoken in America thru archeology. I find it hard to believe that a whole nation of people that lived here for at least a million of years did not leave a trace of their language in caves or stories and anything.

  • @ImalHasan Totally agree with you on that one. The claim is absolutely ridiculous. Moreover, most of the people here don't even know what a moor truly is.

  • @bittercottoncandy

then why would you say the Moors spoke Arabic?

  • @ImalHasan Because they did. They just never went to the Americas. And they aren't / weren't sub-saharan.

  • @bittercottoncandy

ahh?now your talking another whole debate.lol. its common knowledge and european history that the moors were black. why do you say the moors were not black.

  • @ImalHasan Because they weren't (and no, european history does not say they were black, trust me). Tell you more, if you tell a moroccan, algerian, tunisian, etc (the real moors) that the moors were black they'll kick your arse back to the middle ages.

If people bothered to read the iberian literature of that time up to the xvi century (even after the reconquista there were fights between europeans and moors) this afrocentrism bollocks wouldn't have gained the proportions it has today.

  • @bittercottoncandy

ahhh? lol, the word black in greek means moors. just get your self a greek dictionary and see for your self. them white people living in morocco and algeria and tunisia ARE FRENCH IMMIGRANTS. THEY ARE NOT THE ORIGINAL PEOPLE.

  • @ImalHasan Mate, like I said before, if you ever go to north Africa or if you ever meet a person from that part of the world don't repeat what you wrote on your comment, for your own sake. The word moor is still used to designate black, just not the black you're thinking. In fact, it's used to describe someone darker than an european (common in portuguese, spanish and italian too methinks). This is why you and a lot of people on YT believe moor=black (as in sub-saharan black).

  • @bittercottoncandy

i dont think you your self dont even believe what you just said. i think you need to read more before you make any more re tarted comments

  • @ImalHasan Look, if you have the chance try to visit other countries and see for yourself. And next time you want to insult my intelligence please write "retarded". Cheerio.

  • @bittercottoncandy

instead of worrying about misspelled words, i think you should go and read more. your perspective is too funny. you admit that the greek word for black is moore, but then you say that moore really does not mean black. whaaa? lol.

  • @ImalHasan Bruh I had the same debate with someone else on here stating that Moor means Black. That means that Black-a-Moor means "Black-Black", LOL!!! Or maybe Black dark person, LOL!! I think people are so anxious to prove you wrong that they accept the first definition they find.

  • so the arabs was really far back in history and had nothing to do with the moors. the moors=berbers came with islam. they did not come to teach arabic.

  • the moors was not arab they was berbers with a little arab blood from the early invasion. so when the moors went to europe they was not arab. they was berber dna(e1b1b1)=not arab blood.

  • It is very different. I haven't read Carter G. Woodson's The Mis-Education of the Negro book, but hell i'm in college and I know that a lot of this stuff I learned is false! I'm a history major too.

  • Religion is Slavery.

sorry brothers, as much as I dig the writings of Hakim Bey, Islam, just like Christianity, Judaism Hindu or whatever are all chains that bind us from all being truly free and ONE working and loving together to build a brighter tomorrow. Set urself free, throw away those old words by half intelligent men. They mean nothing in terms of our current and future reality.

Im sorry, you have not properly awoken.

  • Tell me why he look like Marcus Garvey??

  • he looks nothing like marcus garvy

  • Who taught noble drew ali this information? how does a black man in north carolina, during the 1920s up against insurmountable odds such as white racism, even began to wake up and start dressing like this and speak the things he spoke? ive heard he ran away and joined the circus and some gypsies taught him; allsi can say is that if he taught the founders of the nation of islam, then there must be something to this man. because it was those teachings that awakened me spiritually.

  • sallam great comment

  • thank you but which coment are you refering to?

  • who taught noble drew ali

  • @rjohson Noble Drew Ali was taught in the East.

    Peace

  • As far as those artifacts Moors often use.

    Google:

Tsimshian stone mask and Burrows cave hoax.

This will explain the actual origins of some of those artifacts. They aren't Moorish.

  • where are we from then? south africa west africa? east africa? asia? america?

  • the bible tenakh and Koran are all right they are just allegorical anyone looking for truth can find it. jews christians and muslims are religions based on taking their holy books literally because they were never initiated past public teachings.

  • Hye you mambo jambo!

Truth is relative man! There is no as such absolute truth, Mr Preacher.

You people claim, Bible is truth, Arab Koran is truth, Jewish Toura is truth. You must be oxygin deprived nigros.

Down with Arab & USA imperialism!

  • You really down with Islam as the solution & the strong possibilty of Africa & "African-Americans" becoming powerful in the world dont you, Belenet?!

  • Comment removed

  • Hakim is an arabic word. By changing your European name to an other master to Arabs, you think you are free. You must be jocking Mr wise man. When slavery comes Arabs are actively buying and saling nigros from West Africa. Have you heard countries where are Nigros are still slaves: Sudan, Moritania and most of Noth African Arabic countries.

Mr wise man: I know you don't have a clue about this, you are just like programed robot. Regugitate what u'r told or read.

  • Do you know the difference between religion and communisim?

I am cheap like you, that is why I am not writing to you insult. Are you self deluding by pretending Arab or Turk and quoting from here or there.

Do stand the truth out there? Then face it. No body give a shit about blacks unless they want to use you as instrument for their propeganda.

Lond live moor "science" of yours.

  • If the story of Olmecs and Muurs is true.

Then this changes every fucking thing.

That means the English/Spaniards/Latinos/Gree ks got every "sick" ideas from the Africans.

KMT is the ones that gave europeans

    'God Conciousness'

So now I know who to really blame for destroying my ancestors.

  • beletnet go hate on Afroamericans somewhere else u mofo.

  • Fellow negir - You are trying to be AaRAB than Arabs them selves. U started u'r speech Islam Do u even understand the Arabs mental set up towards blacks? No because u'r just talking robot. y'r ancestors were once praying to Jewish man called Jesus and a his "father" created by a Jewish man called Moses. Now u'r mixing up religion & some science to convert us to Arabic religion and their god which is manufactured by Jewish in the 1st place. Nigers have no place among Jewish or Arab culture.

  • beletnet u just a mofo ethiopian churcher bullshgitter person so fukk off you and your cheap church and communist ethiopia asshole govt. fukk u

  • Ummm to bad the original Arabian were Kushites!!!!!
