sounds like open D, tuned down a half step. open D flat!

About RLs tunings, this particular version is in open E not D of course they are the same intervals , i capo up to keep the stress off the neck but this is not capoed. When playing in spanish minor tuning it was always up to A. By the way spanish minor is not a minor tuning,it is major but holding the 3rd at the first fret gives you a suspended 4th , modal however you refer to it that way when you play a minor melody note it doesnt sound as spooky as minor on top of major. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure RL plays this in regular tuning - but likely tuned down to about D - still regular tuning relationship though. I can get it to sound like the tune, in regular tuning.
