Great training Sensei McCarthy! I'll practise with Sensei Ludovic in Belgium soon. Looking forward to learn Koryu Uchinadi. Learned Aragaki Seisan and its bunkai, that was a realy eyeopener for me!
Many people who practice karate wants to go ahead in a complete understanding of the art . But unfortunately the ego of some "masters" made it techinacally poor and so far from it's roots .
Sorry for my bad english . Greetings from Brazil , Okinawa Shorin-Ryu .
some of these look familiar to moves some of my instructors are teaching me that they learned at one of your clinics. called the "three year kata" i believe. We would love to get a video of it please post where one would be available!
McCarthy-sensei, do your students do any these drills at full-force with protection gear on? This is not a criticism, mind you, just a query :)

These drills are great. Is it possible to buy a dvd with the practitioners in slow motion?

Thank you for your supportive comments - much appreciated.
Sadly, karate remains just punching and kicking for those who don't look within the art.

This looks great.
I'm just wondering why the art has Koryu in the name if it's modern? Not that it really matters, like I said I think it's great, just curious.

I wonder if someone has come up with something like this based around the Taekwondo forms?
Which would be really helpful.
