I say Rico is a try hard in vocals while bamboo is a copycat in songs(but not all because he sings music that are more meaningful).

Music wise, ayos siya, great to the ears and notes hit the sweet spots; mas malinis pa nga ito sa original, pero "performance" wise, di talaga bagay. Rivermaya had that "kabataan" vibe dati; raw rock driven drum beat heavy on floor tom, simple major scale driven solo and guitar work, while bamboo is sophisticated; jazzy chromatic driven out of the scale smooth solo, piano, and mellowed down but solid and machine like timing on drums.

@mugen2310 the sound maybe the same but the scale is different. yeah it sounds the same, because he's using a jazz scale, and jazz notes are not that much but if you are truly a good jazz player these notes can be of good use even if it is just a few. meron ngang one note solo eh, but it sounds good depending on how you apply the dynamics. aira is a good guitar player, one of the few jazzers in local scene.
