Hey Rick, my name is Luke. I'm the son of Claudette Ward, remember you asked her to sing a song on stage a long time ago.It was one of the highlights of her life. You made her day and we we are really big fans of your music.
One of his good videos at the end of his popular career. There is another more song on the edge that he did that was not recoginized for it is motel eyes, I have not found and video anywhere on youtube or any place else.
Great song, I actually thought it was The Outfield who did that song, this was the very first Rick Springfield song I've ever heard and I like it a lot better than "Jessie's Girl"
I remember hearing this song on the radio all the time back in 1988 and didn't hear it again until a few months ago on 80s Slacker Radio and it took me straight back to 1988 all over again
Rocks out, with lyrics on growing up, and facing life...whether you want it or not, whether you're ready or not. Definitely WAY ahead of the pop curve of the day. Hell the lyrics are still valid today!
great song, his final Top 40 entry and definitely one of his best

This comment has received too many negative votes show
80's cheese
why is he jerking his head about like that
deliberately bouncing that haircut
middle aged man trying to act 'young' and 'cool'
trying to sound a bit like sting, in voice, and reggaeish beat.
'big beat' is that some peter gabriely shit as well?
ffs

Rick is looking good in this video! I loved this album back then, yes it was way ahead of it's time. I don't remember it getting allot of radio play.
