I notice that the length of samples on an MPD is much shorter than on an MPC, can someon tell me the reason for this?

the mpd is the just the control surface. all of the sounds are coming off of a computer. there isn't mpc "guts" if you will inside the mpd

I use ableton live too and i know that there are many ways to do such music. one way is to use samples from another programm or he used a vst-plugin (=software) or...or...or..
