Dodge needs to make a commercial with that accelerate sound with "NEVER NEUTRAL" shown on screen and then the flag and the car name. It would save a lot of money. And the sound is distinctive enough to make you pay attention to it.
The sound will probably become as famous as the apple or the target symbols.

Dodge should do a commercial mocking the "Darth Vader VW Passat" Super Bowl commercial, where the kid in a Darth Vader suit comes out of a store or something and turns on his passat with the remote key. But then, across from his spot, he sees the REAL Darth Vader using his remote to start up his black-on-black 2011 Charger. Then the cool announcer says "Yeah, our's can do that too... while actually being cool" or something. And the charger speeds off!

@godgirlsguitars Dodge has had some reliability issues in the past, no thanks to Daimler. From my experience with post-bankruptcy Chryslers, they are a changed brand. I'd be reluctant to buy a Chrysler product from the last decade, but wouldn't hesitate to buy a new one.

You won't want to test drive the Charger SRT in the rain... the R/T may even be dicey. I bought my 1st gen SRT on a rainy day, and the dealer must have warned me 10 times about being careful in the rain... the new 392 will be amazing!
Freaking amazing. Love the slight update to the grill. Killer tail end. As someone mentioned, a nice 4 door option with muscle. I have a Magnum, tall guys need muscle too! Love the full size muscle!!!
also, ONLY the base model eclipse SOLD ONLY IN THE US from 95-99 had the Chrysler 420a (neon motor). every eclipse sold in every other year in every other country has had Mitsubishi motors.

@cdjred "Extremely refined"? "Driving experience no German car can provide"? Dodge was too cheap to even fit a proper LSD, and the interior is all cheap plastic. Have you driven the 2011 GTi? Now that's refinement, because everything feels solid, brilliantly put together, and durable. I haven't driven this new Charger, but I can bet anything that just like most other American cars, the steering is numb and the engine is lazy. All this Dodge has is a big engine and a small price tag.

@DollyDrearest Test drove the R/T today. Incredible car...for the money. BIggest complaint is the lack of seat bolsters. I have a '00 328i so my expectations are pretty demanding. Brake feel is a little numb (car only had 64miles on it though). Steering feel and feedback is actually pretty darn good. The 5.7 is a magnificent powerplant,My biggest complaint would be lack of support on the bttm cushion bolster. <<IF that was more firm, I'd be driving one.
@DollyDrearest If I have a bias against American cars that means that they have built up a bad reputation in the past. If you believe that this Charger is a great car then OK, but I'm just saying it's not my cup of tea, because I'd rather get a used beamer. And by the way, I'm gonna go into a Dodge dealer next week to see if they have one in stock for me to try out....
@WhatTheFproductions You really need to sit and drive one of these new Chargers or Chryslers to appreciate how many knotches they went up on the quality scale. And I most certainly would never drive a GTI. Volkswagens are kit cars, once you buy them you have to continually fix them.

@wtfhej Oh I'm sorry I think I should clarify. I was trying to say that in cars like the Lexus LFA or Aston Martin Vantage the exhaust is artificially tuned to produce better sound. In those cars however, it's difficult to say whether the noise is tuned or not. In this case though, it seems like Dodge tuned the exhaust but made it sound rather fake in the process. I personally prefer cars like the 911 GT3 or M3 CSL, where the noise comes from the engine it's self, and not tuned exhaust.

Well, I can't say anything bad about the quality of most Japanese cars, it's by far the best in the world... I've owned cars from The USA, Germany, Japan and Italy... I just like the raw power of American muscle cars... just a matter of personal taste.

I used to have an older EVOVII and a Subie STI. after owning muscle cars all my life... you see, I'm back to American Muscle because there is no comparison for true power. It didn't take long for me to realize how gutless the Japanese cars I owned were...

Dodge sucks! I sell cars and thats the one brand that everyone complains about. Mitsubishi were the first to come out with test driving online and that was only to check it out and have a little fun...It was before the car came in stores thats why....idiots!

@MetalSanke O RLY??? Or what? :) I don't hate Chrysler cars, I'm just saying their quality sucks ass. The new Charger looks not bad, but it's got old transmission and chassis. I drove 2010 R/T 1 year, and I cannot say it was my best year - 2 times I had problems with steering wheel and one time with engine. I've sold this piece of crap last month, bought 2011 Mustang GT and kinda happy now. I can't say anything about Ford yet, let's see in one year... Have you ever had a Chrysler's car?

@y0utube5uxx I understand your feelings if that happened, like I said, personally I have had only positive experiences with Dodge (I have my Charger and a Ram pickup) I was a Ford Mustang man prior, no complaints about Ford either though... good luck with your new Mustang... an excellent choice in my opinion.

@cdjred I'll visit a Dodge dealer next week to try out the new Charger out of curiosity, but I can't see my self owning one in a million years because it was designed in a country that puts profits above everything else, and tries to make a car appeal to as many people as possible. This makes it too unfocused and I don't like that. But like I said, I'll try one out next week.

@cdjred "Extremely refined"? "Driving experience no German car can provide"? Dodge was too cheap to even fit a proper LSD, and the interior is all cheap plastic. Have you driven the 2011 GTi? Now that's refinement, because everything feels solid, brilliantly put together, and durable. I haven't driven this new Charger, but I can bet anything that just like most other American cars, the steering is numb and the engine is lazy. All this Dodge has is a big engine and a small price tag.

@DollyDrearest Test drove the R/T today. Incredible car...for the money. BIggest complaint is the lack of seat bolsters. I have a '00 328i so my expectations are pretty demanding. Brake feel is a little numb (car only had 64miles on it though). Steering feel and feedback is actually pretty darn good. The 5.7 is a magnificent powerplant,My biggest complaint would be lack of support on the bttm cushion bolster. <<IF that was more firm, I'd be driving one.

@DollyDrearest If I have a bias against American cars that means that they have built up a bad reputation in the past. If you believe that this Charger is a great car then OK, but I'm just saying it's not my cup of tea, because I'd rather get a used beamer. And by the way, I'm gonna go into a Dodge dealer next week to see if they have one in stock for me to try out....

@WhatTheFproductions You really need to sit and drive one of these new Chargers or Chryslers to appreciate how many knotches they went up on the quality scale. And I most certainly would never drive a GTI. Volkswagens are kit cars, once you buy them you have to continually fix them.

@wtfhej No offense to Dodge fans, but there's a millions things I'd rather do than test drive this car. I strongly prefer vehicles from Germany to anything else. I'm just saying from the little evidence I've gathered from this video the noise sounds fake.

@wtfhej Oh I'm sorry I think I should clarify. I was trying to say that in cars like the Lexus LFA or Aston Martin Vantage the exhaust is artificially tuned to produce better sound. In those cars however, it's difficult to say whether the noise is tuned or not. In this case though, it seems like Dodge tuned the exhaust but made it sound rather fake in the process. I personally prefer cars like the 911 GT3 or M3 CSL, where the noise comes from the engine it's self, and not tuned exhaust.
