actaully the wolf represents Clouds feelings of guilt. You can see it after the battle in the forgotten city. It appears by the water. Or thats what I was told at least

i once imagened zach and cloud as wolves, since, zach is represented by one in FF7AC

it made me wonder what it would be like if Cloud died and became a wolf like Zach

hmm, i guess thats another good way to look at it

but i just thought of it more as Zach because we first see it next to his sword

and then it almost seems like when cloud is near death at the end of the movie, its Zachs soul that brings him back

just my opinion, i guess FFs always have things in them that can be thought of a million different ways
