Yeah, knowledge like, "How to mistreat women." Don't get me wrong, I'm as annoyed by people who don't give other cultures a second glance because they're different as you are, but I'm equally annoyed by people who romanticize them because "HOLY CRAP! THEY LIVE IN THE WOODS! THEY'VE GOT IT ALL FIGURED OUT, MAN!"
@LOLlord117 A tribe that mistreats its women doesn't fare well for long. These particular forest-people have been highly successful at adapting to change, even as tribe after tribe around them were wiped out or assimilated to modern life. To me this indicates a strong and healthy community structure, which is only possible when women are both provided for and respected as individuals with functioning brains. I don't believe you have researched the Yanomano way of life. Wiki b4 u jump.
@LOLlord117 google video search for a documentary called 'the tribe' its about the yanomami and what has been done by anthropologists researching them. its an amazing documentary and you will see the point. at the end of the day they are people no different in anyway to anyone from any culture.
These are some of the most scared people other than the Insect tribe in PNG and the Huichol people in Mexico. Very beautiful people that will sooner then not disappear it is so very sad
@vlod958 No my friend, they are NOT more violent then the western countries, less so other then for the fact that they (western anthropology) are such small numbers(thanks to "advanced" Western decadence)and they often fight inter family tribes. The arrogance and ego of the US and most European countries see them as uncivilized and violent because they have knowledge that we lost walking on the pavement we built ling ago. "We" fear what we don't understand. The Huichol are 100% not violent.
Hey does anyone know the name of this program or more preferably a website associated this this program? I just saw in the beginning that it was called "Pipe Dreams".
Amazin Amazin! i really...speechless...really, i love this tribe, i've visited many amazonic tribes but not yanomamis or yekuanas. I love them and it is my dream to be there one day. It's my country, my origins wow. Is this ur project?= thank u so much for sharing anyway.
