Yeah I played this on my performa 6300cd. Even then it was jerky as hell. No pun.
Never could get past the WW2 stage and the gladiator fight on my machine would always hiccup and kill my character. The game engine's controls are just a little too hair trigger IMO and hit detection left something to be desired. The bum...I have no idea what if any purpose he serves. Apparently someone beat this already. same actor for nero plays a snarky annoying satan.
2:15 You were either silly or lazy. (Er, no offense.) There were four pay binoculars to look through, but you have to get more cash from the ATM at the ground floor first.
2:35 "Pretty cool place, huh? You go to the top?" (I think that part was cut out.)
3:50 Whatever you say, you get thrown in prison. But it always takes three answers, but if you say, "Hail who?" and then call him Caesar, you shorten the conversation.
In your prison cell, you can talk with the "good slave" if you want.
@jlassh I totally need to play Spaceship Warlock, I've heard for being pretty much THE first FMV adventure game ever made, it's got a lot of interactivity and other cool stuff in it.
Also, WOW, this game is a whole lot less rare than I could have guessed, for some reason.
Cheers heaps for posting this, I've been wanting to revisit this game for ages. I remember somehow getting past the Rome stage and then going to WW1 trenches where I always got killed by a dude in a gas mask. Never got any further than that.
@peniche311 I got curious to see who the gladiator dude was, so I went on MobyGames and checked the credits for this game. It's some guy named Keith Davis. ...Apparently he did something for Crackdown 2. Don't worry, I wish it was the Old Spice guy, too.
Look down, back up, where are you? Ramming the mouse button as hard as you can and getting your ass kicked, apparently.
@rogermania Sigh, yeah, I know. Sometimes it still amazes me that I was only a wee 8 year old back in 2000. Sadly, the 90's and all their awesomeness skipped right over me. I guess that's why I do these videos, to find the hidden treasures of a secret childhood that slipped me by.
I agree with setsunapoa, I would love to see the ending to this game. I played this game when it first came out and NEVER was able to beat this stage. Hopefully you can get the crashes ironed out! =]
@setsunapoa I'd really love to, but if I'm going to keep getting all these annoying crashes all the way through, I don't think I can. It's an interesting game, and I really would like to see it to the end, but unless I find a better version without all the missing files, that's going to have to wait. :/ Sorry.
HILLARIOUS end :D (unless that was actually the end. when i was a kid i never even got past the first taxi ride cuz i was so damn scared ><)

When you look through one of those coin scopes you seem to be stuck forever, at least I couldn't get away from it.

@schtolteheim Really? Huh. You sure there wasn't some kind of back arrow that was in some weird spot of the screen you couldn't find?
